Dedicated to Hillbeans and the post about double pierced ears

I had my ears double pierced in both ears, but the left piercing wasn't even with the right, so I let it close up. I now have 2 piercings and a cartilege piercing in my right ear. I wear 3 earrings all the time.

48 years old, one ear double pieced on the bottom and cartilage pierced on the top. Other ear single pieced and no cartilage piercing. I wear diamond studs in the 2nd and cartilage piercing all the time and change the earring in the first piercing. I'm probably the only woman my age who has an "upper" earring on my one ear, but I like the look

EdiePA- This is exactly what I have and I'm 45. We must have went to the same High School. LOL. Which ear has the three holes? Mine are on the right. This year I treated myself to a mickey tatoo. It's on my right ankle It's all black and I call it my hidden Mickey. Gina

I have an aunt who is 78 and has double holes in one ear and wears them every day. I have doubles but never wear them because I do daycare and the little ones like to pull on them.

I have double pierced ears but dont use the second hole. A long time ago, i also had a piercing at the top of my ear. I also had my belly button pierced and took that out when I got pregnant

Wow...I inspired a post!!! :cool1:

For some reason I took earrings out of my 2nd ones just because I got a really nice pair of diamond earrings from my husband. Now, i'd probably put a small set of earrings in there, why not?

Yes. it's a really nice custom, a woman is never too old for double piercings.

Wow - A blast from the past - this post was from last year!!

:teeth:

I'm 30 and I have 5 holes in my left ear (1 is in the cartilage) and 3 in my right and I still wear earrings in all of them. Now granted, 99.9% of the time it's all emerald studs, but I do still wear them!

I know! almost a year ago!
every morning I "search" on my screen name...and this one popped up.

I"ll be 29 next month...still have 9holes in my right, 4 in my left!

I'm staring down 40 on my next b-day and have had double piercings since I was 18. I wear diamond studs in the second holes and I don't even bother taking them off. They have the screw on backings.

I have 3 holes in each ear and I wear earrings in them everyday. First two holes are normally hook type earrings with diamond studs in the top. It is a part of me and I like the way it looks.

I also have two tattoos and I love them. They are also a part of me. Just like a freckle or a mole. They are there for a reason and have meaning behind them.

And when I am 50-60 I will look at them and remember why they are there.

I have 3 in one ear and 2 in the other...loved it when I was 15, and actually still like it now although I don't always wear earrings in all 5. I'm 37 now. Have the naval done too...did that when I was 27. I did that because I wanted something "crazy" that wouldn't be visible. Oh, yeah...have a tattoo, too. Wish I hadn't done that...on the ankle and I have to cover it up for work (I teach and it is frowned upon by some principals!). I tell my daughter that these things are permanent...especially tatoos. She should really think about it before she does it. She knows I regret the tattoo sometimes.

If you have your nose/belly button pierced (or tattoos) do you wonder what it will look like when you're 50+?

i have a tattoo and nope, i don't wonder what it will look like when i'm 50. it's in a place where it won't stretch due to weight gain/loss and i can easily hide it. most people at work don't know i have a tattoo, for example. and it's something i know i will love, even when i'm 50. :)

I have an aunt who is going to be eighty. She looks like she is in her sixties. She has one ear double pierced and wears two earrings daily. I have both of mine double pierced but hardly wear earrings because I do child care and earrings attracted little fingers.

My ears are double pierced, but when you work for Disney you can only wear one set of earrings in the lower holes, so that's my story.

I honestly forget sometimes that they're there. If I remember, then I put a second pair in on the weekends - but I very rarely remember.

As far as tattoos go, I have only one. I didn't get it for asthetic purposes, so I don't really care what it will look like when I'm a grandmother.

I have a single piercing in one ear, and triple-piercing in the other. I'm 41 and I still wear a pair of small diamonds in the extra two holes every day. I still like the way it looks. I also hate the way a piercing looks with nothing in it, so I never go without earrings unless I forget to put them in.

I have double holes and I quit wearing earrings in the second holes around 10 years ago. The reason: I liked the double piercings when I was in my teens and early twenties. But once I had a child and matured some, I no longer cared for the look. There is a small hole still there, serves as a reminder to my youth :teeth: but I wish it would fade away altogether. Double piercings just don't look so classy once you hit your 40's

I had 3 holes in each and stopped wearing the 3rd ones 6 months after i got them because they hurt all the time. I still wear the 2 earring in each ear. I think my ears would look funny with only one earring in each. Too much space on my earlobe.

back in the day
I had four in one ear and three in the other

these days I have a hard enough maintainine the first ones with the diamond studs DH got me for a gift (and I had to FORCE them through with a lot of pain!)
