Dedicated Studios at AKV

Does anyone know where the Dedidcated Studios are at AKV? We have reservations for a two bedroom standard view and reservations for friends in a dedicated Savanna view studio. I think ours will probably be pool view if I understand correctly so I know about where the two bedroom will be. But I was wondering if the Savanna dedicated studios were in a particuliar area or if they were spread out. I'm just trying to figure out our chances of being near each other.

Just got back from akv, and we had a dedicated studio. I think we were in room 504? or 08 cant recall the exact number, but it was a pool view at the very end of the hall.

The dedicated studios are spread out throughout the 5th floor, usually at one end or the other of each hallway segment. Many hallway segments have 7-8 AKL rooms on each side. After conversion, there are usually 2 2BR lockoffs and 1 or 2 dedicated studios on each side of each hallway segment. This drawing shows the AKV Units that have been declared so far. There are 6 dedicated Savanna View studios near the Standard View villas: Unit 43 has 2 dedicated studios and Units 41 and 41A each have 2 dedicated studios with savanna views. There are also dedicated Savanna View studios in Units 24, 26 and 30. I imagine when they convert the other side of AKL (scheduled to be open by Jan 29, 2008), there will dedicated studios in similar locations.

Hope this isn't too severe of a threadjack... what about the number of concierge studios? I'm figuring on a concierge studio being my "splurge" room each year. Also, anybody know about the view associated with them?

Concierge is on the 6th floor. There are a total of five 2BR lockoffs. Three of them face the Sunset Savanna, the other two face the pool. Lockoffs can be split into a 1BR and a studio so at most, there are 5 concierge studios. You will want to call as soon as your booking window opens!

Thanks for the reply. Good thing that'll be my home resort. Now if I can just pull a little sneakiness to book them well within even the seven month window to burn off those developer points I'm considering.

You can only use the Developer Points seven months or less before your reservation. No home resort advantage with them. Your concierge studios undoubtedly will be gone by that time.

got a dedicated standard view studio - decided there must be alot of them for me to get one - it was a few days after the annoucement of AKV opening.

so there aren't a bunch of standard view.

why are 47 & 50 in separate areas - are these 2 bedrooms - won't appreciate getting a 2-bedroom only to find it in separate areas?

the values are to open in Dec?

Each of those units contain 4 dedicated studios -- two studios on one side and two on the other side. The larger units next to them (46, 48 and 49) each contain two 2BR lockoffs. All of those units (46-50) are Value villas.

ETA: The Value villas open Dec 1st.
