Dedicated studio at OKW?

Does OKW have any dedicated studios?

There have been a couple of reports from people that say they stayed in one over the years. But the legal paperwork does not list one and it's been a while since that ghost was seen. My info says no.

All the DVC studios have an iron and ironing board. Look in the closet to find it.

Can you provide the room number or at least the building? The CMs at OKW have been unaware of any dedicated studios at the resort and the POS documents do not show any either.

Hmmm, now that you mention it what I was recalling was not a dedicated studio, but a dedicated 2BR. I was recalling the extra closet in them but your question made me realize that if that were the case then there wouldn't be any door!!!

Here is the "official" breakdown for the resort:

OKW - 0 Dedicated Studios - 0 Dedicated 1Bdrm - 274 Dedicated 2Bdrm - 230 Lockoffs - 27 Grand Villas = 531 Units / 761 Max. Available Rooms

There is a dedicated studio at OKW. It's on the third floor of the building on the south side of turtle pond road. I will get the building number off the resort map. It is on the left as you are traveling toward the turtle pond loop but before you reach to cul de sac.

Bear with me. Dedicated means 2 queen beds in the bedroom, is that right? Second question, why don't 1 Bedrooms have 2 queens in the bedroom. Then, with the pull-out sofa, they could sleep 6 - to me, that would seem like a nice alternative.

At OKW all 2BR villas have 2 queens in the 2nd BR as do all studios. There are no sleep sofas in studios at OKW only in the living rooms of 1BR, 2BR and GVs.

None of the DVC resorts have 2 queens in the master bedroom - all have a King Bed. The only rooms at any of the DVC resorts with 2 queens are OKW studios and the 2nd BR of dedicated 2BR villas.

I think I may have stayed in a dedicated studio. It was very strange. There were maybe half a dozen clothes washers and dryers in the room, and a little vending machine with detergent. And the bathroom was connected but I had to step outside and enter a different door to use it (but it had 2 bathrooms, mens and womens). And it's the closest room to the pool I've ever seen.. just right out the door!

It got a little annoying when people kept coming into my room wanting to wash clothes, but member services forgot to deduct any points from my account for that stay so I think I came out ahead.....
