okay....Reposting a question because it didn't get answered.....Do you put most of your decorating stuff in your carry on so that you can start decorating right away???

Sorry Jackie I'm not much help for you. The last two trips we drove. If you had the room to put it in the carry on I would. Once I got to the resort and if the room was ready I'd be all about decorating the window.

I packed ours in a checked suitcase .. with DME they arrived by the time the room was ready. (for our Dec.06 trip at AKL )

I originally wanted to pack everything in our checked suitcase but when we were there in January it took FOREVER to get our luggage! We come from a very cold State so we were all wearing pants and long sleeve shirts. It was HOT!! We didn't have any problems the years before that with DME.

I mailed mine to the hotel ahead of time so it was waiting for me, also mailed snax, sunscreen , lighters etc only cost about $7 to mail.

Just bought purple lights at Walmart (with halloween stuff) to decorate my Mardi Gras at the Pop window!

Thanks to everyone for answering my question. I don't want to ship anything down. I really don't have that much to take along. I think I'll put some things in my carry on and some stuff in my checked suitcase. Thanks again everyone. I'll post pics when I get back!

I hit paydirt- I found Alien Green and Mickey Black Mickey heads at Home Depot!!!!!

Lori they must have fully stocked the Mickey heads because I just came home from our Home Depot (same one that you go to) and I not only got the lime green ones but I scored big with several of the colors.

Haha!! Dh thinks we are all crazy-I just told him you went and got some too from the same HD!!! I couldn't justify taking all of them-I'd have GUILT over it if I did. besides, what am I going to do with them anyway-not sure yet!!! I already did my sign and countdown calendar-I guess they will go in my window!! I may need to go back and get Mardi Gras colors!!

I've decided to do my window theme as ... "Disney Villans". I have a strand of eyeball lights my sister loaned to me. I purchased a couple of Disney Villans coloring books. I'm gonna color the pages with magic marker, trim the charachters out, and lamniate them. We purchased removeable double sided tape to hang them up in the windows. I guess we'll have to see how this all turns out for us. Anyone done a Villans window before?

I have just decided to make our Family Suite windows into Villains VS Good Guys (or some other word I haven't decided on yet)!!! I LOVE your idea of the coloring books! Thats something I may steal from ya!

I only have a theme so far so any other suggestions would be great!
