Decorating your resort room?

The doors at AKL have an African shield on them that takes up a lot of room. You could put things around it, but I'm not sure if it's metal or not. It's also pretty dark in the hallways so your decorations might not show up very well.

I'd bring clings to decorate the sliding glass doors to the balcony instead.

They are not metal. Didn't see any decorations on the doors any of the 6 times we have been there. We did see into rooms that had decorations on the sliding doors.

Anyone know the approx. size of windows at All Star Movies? Wanted to make some of the mickey head garland.

I went to Wal-Mart and bought a yard of "clear vinyl", my dd's and I then printed out free coloring pics from various websites. We traced our pics. onto the vinyl, and then got permanent markers and colored in our pics. We now have "home-made" window clings. My daughter also leaves her Mickey and Minnie stuffed animals in the window.

I love the idea of the green Mickey heads....Home Depot here I come!

Anyone else stay at Values so you can decorate ur windows????

We got upgraded to BWI from CBR in Jan and it just wasn't the same decorating the balcony door.

Can't wait to decorate my window at PoP in 24 days

Headed to Pop in 41 days. I have Minnie & Mickey clings from Valentines day (they dont say Valentines day) to put up since we are headed for our Vow Renewal there. Trying to decide if I want to put up any lights or anything this time. I'm leaning toward not because they are red white and blue while our clings are Pink and Red mostly. Other than the clings anyone have any ideas (oh I'm bringing a stuffed Mickey and Minnie for the window too)?

what i do is go to home depot and borrow a whole lot of lime green mickey heads.

i cut them out and tape them all over the door and the window to my room.

i staple twine to the pencil and tape it to the door.
i ask for sign ins on my mickey heads for any disers that pass by.



never had any issues with housekeeping or cm's at the resort on what i do with the decorating.

I took the advice of a previous poster and picked up the mickey paint cards from Home Depot. I cut them out and they look great, they are in all colors. My only question is this.....I'm staying in Pop Century and I was wondering if I need to tape them to the front door or if it's magnetic.

tape is a no-no when decorating - The doors at POP are magnetic..or you can use mini suction cups on the windows to hang them.

Thank you guys. I have a magnet from the dollar store I'm going to hot glue on the back of the ears....easy easy easy!

Some one on here in the first couple of threads said to use the blue tacky stuff to put things up. I have window clings for the window. Look at Wal-mart in the Disney display they put up recently. I got princess ones, but they had different kinds. They were only a buck.

No, not exactly decorate, but when we stay in a mod, we do put the towel animals along the window sill.

I am staying at CSR for our first disney trip I love love this idea!

I love the idea of the strings of Mickey heads in the windows & The Magnets and stuff on the doors!

I havent been through every page yet but ... does anyone have pictures of there windows and doors at CSR? Will I be able to decorate is the windows the same and the doors metal?
