Decorating your resort room?

Family Dollar has Disney Christmas window clings. I've seen princess, new mickey and old school mickey clings lately. I think i saw some at our Dollar tree and I *think* there was some Pooh and Car window clings as well

I decorate my room AKL next weekend! This is our honeymoon and want to get answers from other members of the DIS. What Mickey heads on Home Depot? There is a deposit of 5 miles from home, and I want the green Mickey heads put on my door!

I am so so so excited about this.... I just happpen to stumble across this and decided this was something I had to do..... We are arriving Nov. 20 and staying through the 24 only 4 days :sad1: we are there right before Thanksgiving so I am using that as my theme.... we are staying in All Star Movie... Can't wait.:goodvibes

for those still looking for christmas clings, if you have a big lots near you try checking them out. went to one here in town today and they had disney window clings!

The $ Tree was just putting out some cute Christmas Disney Window clings..they had Cars, Pooh and Friends,Princess and Mickey and Friends.
Walgreens also has some really cute Disney Christmas decor. They also have the Disney Window Clings (different than the $ Tree), a lighted Mickey shaped candy cane, a red and green Mickey made out of tinsel and the CUTEST lighted Mickey Snowman!! I couldn't help myself and bought 2 of them.

ok so I made it through about 50 pages.. what a great thread! I always loved seeing the decorated doors and can't tell you how fun it has been to run into other Dis board members in the parks.. even one awesome lady with a lime green mickey tattoo on her leg ( :wave2: ) We would love to decorate so fill me in!
Who's decorating for Christmas??
Can I decorate at the deluxe villas?
what are the doors made of?
Can I decorate the balcony?
Oh so excited!!! Love the pics!!

Well, after reading this thread, I've decided I'm going to decorate my window at POFQ while there 1-8 Dec...now I'm wonding about how wide the window ledges are there as I do have a couple of small Scottish tartan trees I could sit on the ledge and a few other things that are "close to retirement" (no, I am NOT putting my DH in the window:rotfl2:)

I went to the Dollarama yesterday and picked up some mini lights (and remembered to get an extension cord as well...ha ha), some suction cups and a few acrylic snow flakes. I didn't see anything there that was Disney (at least yet) for Christmas there but am going to keep my eyes open...

I'm not sure if Zeller's (we're in Canada by the way) has anything Disney Christmas or not, but I also didn't see anything in our local Wal-Mart. I really don't want to spend too too much on anything as whatever we take, we will be throwing out before we leave (to make room for souveniers and not to make the suitcases overweight for the return flight)....

My friend tells me I'm nuts because our kids are grown up and it's just us two old folks going, but if I thought a decorated window would make even one kid happy, it would be worth the work:rotfl:. Someone please tell me it's just Disney Magic taking over and my mind hasn't left me yet.....

You are too sweet! I promise you it's the Disney Magic.:wizard: We have stayed at POP the last 3 trips and our kids LOVE looking at all the decorated windows.:lovestruc I would bet you a Chocolate Covered Mouse Ear :mickeybar that your efforts will be enjoyed by many. :)
Another bonus - when we decorate our window it always makes it easier to spot our room when coming home exhausted from the Parks. ;)

I have asked if the window frames are magnetic but I haven't got an answer yet

I got great suction cups at the dollar store that have hooks on them, they will be great to hang things in the window

I used both suction cups for some items & tape for others on our window decorations.

I don't know if the window frames are magnetic.

At walgreens this week I purchased a Santa hidden Mickey with lights and it came with the suction cups and mini lights that we are going to put on our window at POR on Thursday this week

I don't think the windows are magnetic, but the doors are!:thumbsup2
Suction cups or the 3M hooks/hangers you can buy now that are removable from any surface work well too. Don't forget to make or buy some type of message board to put on your door-we get all kinds of comments written on ours and lots of DISERS that stop buy and write hello along with their user names.
Dollar Tree has Disney Christmas boards with the little expo marker attached-all you need to attach is magnetic tape and you can stick it on your door!:thumbsup2

We bought the marker board I thought it was too perfect! I think we may get a better marker for it though. I'm also thinking of getting scrapbook or cardstock paper for people to sign so then we can have a permanent keepsake. I put the board up on our fridge for now and am using it as a countdown to vacation.

Hello again!
I love the cardstock idea!:thumbsup2 I usually take a picture of the board and then erase it for the next day!
