Hello....any ideas for really doing the room at AOA up for grandsons first trip? I can't afford the Disney service for this ...insane! Just want it to be "magical" and less expensive.

Hi
Visit your local dollar store
a few ideas
window cling decals
Disney welcome letter, meal invites ( check out the DIS creative DISign forum)
http://www.disboards.com/forums/creative-disigns.105/

maybe a few "disney coupons"--see my thread
If interested just post a request on my thread with your grandson's fav character and his first name?
Treat notes:
see my photobucket

bubbles,binoculars,books,pirate bandana,treasure, stuffies.
Mentos or M and M tubes with pennies and quarters for pressed coin machines.
Have fun planning
Hugs Mel
I'm a Nana also.

One of my fav things to do is print out different color mickey head balloons and attach muti colored ribbon to them. I use dollar store magnetic clips to attach to the door or stick tack to the window.
Hugs Mel

Neon glow sticks in a bottle.
Flameless LED lights if decorating at Halloween, Christmas or any occasion, use around the window ledge or around the room.

I saw that it has already been mentioned but I was shocked at all the Disney items you can find at Dollar Tree. I had never really looked until I saw it recommended on a blog post and was surprised at everything that was available. Don't know if you are crafty (or have time to be crafty) but there are some really cute (and relatively easy) crafts on Pinterest that could be cool.

We frequently travel in our RV for Disney- I like to decorate it but not do anything big or permanent since we don't keep the Disney stuff up for other trips.
I made each of the kids a fleece blanket with pluto on from this travel pillow pattern it.http://family.disney.com/craft/pluto-travel-pillow
I am in no way crafty,or good at sewing. I used fleece and tied the ends instead of sewing and used fabric adhesive for the felt . Made three in one night.
I also scoured the kids existing stuff and made their beds with an assortment of mickeys, Pluto's etc. I have a Mickey hole punch and put "hidden mickeys" around the RV. Made the kids gorgeous autograph books for practically nothing using scrapbook paper and stickers. Mickey pens and markers in a plastic Mickey cup-You could go crazy at the dollar store, Walmart and craft store and only spend a little bit to Disneyfy things you already have. And the nice thing then is you already have some built in souvenirs.
