i have 3 rooms to decorate because the others don't have the disney spirit:rotfl: and it also helps the kids identify the families rooms w/out knocking
on the wrong door:eek:

our room will be a pirate theme bought the clear vinyl from walmart works great (i tried it on my back door:thumbsup2 ). i printed out some pirate mickeys ,treasure chests, treasure maps, and a few other pirate themed things stuck them on my back door ( had to try them out you know:rotfl2: )

now, i saw in the $$ store they have pirate hats/knives i was wondering if that would over do the theme?? i do have some mickey heads from home depot and i was thinking about having the kids paint them black and get some play gold coin and play money and make a chain with that too??

so what do you think??? any suggestions??

Hello!

I'm moving this to the Resorts Board so that you'll get more responses to your question. Please check the Resorts Board for further replies.

Happy planning!

I think you have a little too much time on your hands. ;)

I love your idea - I feel there is never too much Disney - so play it up! :thumbsup2 The nice thing is, you can always change the decor if you tire of it pirate: We started very innocently decorating our guest room with our Disney Souvenirs, etc. well - now we have the room completely Disney - top to bottom - sheets, comforters, all the artwork, MMC clock, window treatments -- you get the idea. Our DVC giclee print hanging in the hallway, snowglobes in the LR along with a throw, Mickey/Minnie prints in the Dining Room, MM towels in the guest bath (Main Bath is decorated like OKW). MM salt/pepper shakers, etc in Kit. Disney placemats. MM Icon Trellis & statues in the yard, entry mats. MM seat covers & steering wheel cover in the car. I figure if I can't live at WDW - I'm bringing it home with me. We decided a few years ago that life has to be fun- might as well enjoy what Love
Our Granddaughter just loves to tell her friends about her "Disney room" at Grandma & Grandpa's. Be as creative as you can - your kids will be the envy of the school.

I think the OP was talking about her hotel room or cruise ship room, not her home.

Oops - I didn't realize that's what she was referring to. I think she has the right idea though. Have fun :cool1:
