My ds wants his room to be red, white, and blue. I just ordered a red bedspread, blue pillow shams, and blue window shades (and the sheets will be red, white, and blue in a plaid pattern. He already has blue carpet, but the walls will need to be painted. I was wondering what color walls would look good with his theme? I don't want white walls!

If white and/or cream is out of the question, I would go with a very, very light blue.. Sounds like a "fun" room! ;)

how about doing a spilt theme on the walls say bottom half red - so no light colour for fingermarks etc then a seperator of a blue stripe - this will pick out the blue of the curtains - then white on the top half - this will brighten up and help reflect the light at window height - but not be "boring white"

red all over would be too overpowering I think, white would be stark, blue possibly a bit tooo cool but it would be pretty unique lol.

This sounds great! How about dark blue walls with white stars along the top as a border?

I saw on some HGTV show they cut the walls in half and painted the bottom half red and they had some kind of wallpaper that was blue with white stars on it. They added white railing where the two met. It was really cool.
