Decorating for Fall

I usually pull all the stuff out the 1st full weekend of Fall . .. which is my birthday weekend this year . . .:cool1:

So, for me . . .September 25th . . .:thumbsup2

I will start the first week or so of October! Can't wait!

My decorating for fall is when I pull out the Christmas decorations. lol

I don't change for the season, could be because I am in Florida, and we don't have those things called seasons, but I have heard of them.;)

Might start today, it's only in the 60's!!

Right about now, but that's because I'm no good at housekeeping, so a big part of "decorating for fall" is just decluttering and tidying and catching up on household reno stuff.

Once a year, on Dec. 24th, my house actually looks nice. Then it completely falls apart for six months, before I get around to trying to pull everything back together again.

depends on the weather. a few years ago we had a really cool august and I remember starting to change things over toward the end of it. normally I'd say more toward the middle of september. this year we are having such a nice summer I'm praying it lasts a bit longer than usual so not even thinking about fall decorating yet!

I'm holding myself back from doing it now;)I love my fall decorations! I'm early and usually pull them out on Labor Day weekend only because it is a long weekend and I have the time.

I went to Yankee Candle yesterday and dropped a good amount of money on all the fall scents. My favorite time of year

Nights have been in the 50's so it sure feels like fall in the air!

Here in Vermont I usually start on Labor Day weekend. We are in full foliage at the end of Sept/first of October, then trees are bare by 3rd week of October (my birthday).

After that is "stick season," my LEAST favorite time of the year. This is the last year I will need to suffer through that as I will be living in Florida beginning in January.

What is this decorating for fall?

(transplant to Virginia after 18 years in Florida. Today is the first time I have A/C off and windows open in August without being forced by hurrican power outage. My kids commented that it feels
like December.:lmao:)

September. Maybe I'll make it to mid-September but I bought a few "permanent" decorations yesterday! I'm excited to decoorate my new house! Last year we moved in in late Oct. so I didn't decorate much. I LOVE Fall.

Lisa and family, enjoy the transition!

First of September, every year. As soon as the kids go back to school, it's officially Fall. ;)

Fall stuff goes up Sept 1, then Halloween stuff goes up Oct 1. Halloween comes down Nov 1 and most of the fall stuff goes back up again, with some added Thanksgiving accents. Christmas decor goes up Dec 1, except for the tree, which usually waits till about the 2nd weekend of December.

This year, I will be leaving for WDW on Oct 2nd, so I want to be sure the Halloween decor is done before we leave so I can come home to a clean, nicely decorated house 2 weeks later. :goodvibes

Was in Kirkland's yesterday and couldn't resist buying some nice scented fall candles and diffusers. Fall is my fave season, the other decorations will come out mid Sept. :goodvibes

The Johnny Appleseed festival is Sept 18 and 19th. We usually go on sunday. After we get done there, we go and get our hay bales, indian corn, and pumpkins that evening and I try and have them semi staged.

One night that upcoming week, I'll get all of the outdoor stuff set up in the hay bales. The following weekend, I'll swap out all the indoor stuff for the halloween stuff.

On the 1st or 2nd of November, I'll swap all the halloween stuff for the thanksgiving stuff. That display is out the shortest amount of time and it the hardest to find.

That has been the plan for years. But seeing as DS is in marching band this year and has saturdays tied up with shows and competions, I may have to try and get it all on the 19th. The switch between halloween and thanksgiving will be ok, as the state championship is on the 30th.

End of September. I'm not ready to say good-bye to Summer just yet. Although, today feels like Fall (it's high 60's to low 70's) and my sinuses are pretty bad :headache:

Mid September here. I am have already beens scouting stores for new decor! Can't believe September is almost here.

Probably this next weekend. I'm doing a deep clean and then decorating for fall! It's been so nice and I can hardly wait! :)
