I was in the hardware store today, and the Hallowe'en decorations are starting to come in...

I feel like there wasn't much summer here, but it's fun to change the "outside decor" and I need some new ideas. We've done the bale of straw, and cat-tail reeds for many years...what's new???:)

What are your "outside decorations"?

I hear you - it's time to give up on summer - not that we really had one anyway either - and move on to Fall.

I'm looking for a good Fall flag myself.

BTW, I've always wanted to go to Nova Scotia. It looks so amazingly beautiful there.:D

Fall is the best time...the weather is usually beautiful, warm-ish;) days, and crisp, cool nights...
Celtic Colours starts next month:)

A new flag decoration over the back door would be nice..:scratchin

DH actually has an online friend who lives there too. She's a giant pumpkin farmer and has invited us to visit her pumpkins and her beautiful province many times. Maybe it's really time to get our butts up there. ::yes:: :D

Fall decorations. Indian corn (ears have different colors on them). Usually are bundled in a group of three.

Corn stalks, but racoons love them, which isn't a good thing.

Can't wait for apple season. Homegrown apples and fresh cider puts me into the fall spirit.

I always decorated bigtime for Halloween when I lived in Missouri. I'm not sure what I'll do in Florida.

Pictures of my house decorated for Halloween in Kansas City:

I think I'm going to go all out this year - scarecrow, hay bales, pumpkins, yard art, etc etc. I love that transition into Fall, one of my favorite times of year.

I can't see your pictures:(

Definitely go all out, enchantedpixiedust...and when you're done post a picture!!::yes::

Orvilleair, we don't have raccoons in Cape Breton:) One of the benefits of living on an island:) So the corn stalks would be nice:):)

See, grinningghost - another reason to come and visit!! You can tell your DH that you have an online friend that needs some decorating help!!;)

Sorry, I don't know what happened to my pictures. I fixed them.

Fall is probably my favorite season! But since I live in FL, I miss out unless I visit my family up north. Hardly anyone here decorates for the seasons like they do up north.

I prefer to keep it simple.

Just some bright mums (orange/yellows/purples) and pumpkins on the front stairs.
