I was just wondering how everyone decorated their cake table??

We re getting married at SBP & are having our cake cutting/reception there  .
I would really like to decorate the table but i dont want it too look cluttered or then again bare.

I ve got a Disney wedding pillow i would like to have placed on it, we ve brought our Champagne Flutes & Knife set which have been engarved so look beautiful :lovestruc . I just dont know if we should have anything else placed on it :confused3 . We re also having petals scattered a cross the table too:cutie: .

Do you think having the cake/ Pillow/ Flutes & petals will be enough decoration??

we only have the table clothes and then it was like puffed up in places and the cake in the middle

This was our cake table. We just covered it with a sating linen, then an overlay, and put the bouquets on it. There was also crystal swagging all around the table but I don't have a good shot of it.

I think you have enough to go on the table, less is more sometimes. I really wanted the cake to be the focal point and not all of the stuff on the table.

We had two crossed chair sashes and that was it, but our cake was kinda over the top all by itself.

The thing about an Escape wedding is, they decorate the cake table for you - and WAY more than they do for Wishes weddings. They usually have plants, clouding (the pouffy linens), etc. and it looks really nice.

For Wishes, unless you pay for table decor or bring your own, they just leave it plain.

i didn't have a WDW wedding, but I did order roses and had the petals sprinkled around the table

We are doing a pink poly-cotton cover with a shimmer dust overlay (sheer material with glitter in it) and rose petals. I think it will be gorgeous.

I had made two silk bouquets - one for the Terrace and one for the cake table - so that was the only decoration I thought we'd have, along with my and MOH's bouquets, but DFTW totally decorated the cake table with "poofy" linens and additional floral. The overall look was very pretty.

Thanks ladies for being so helpful :goodvibes , i think i ll just have the pillow & the cake placed on the table then with some petals. The pillows only small, i ve had it for so long & placing it on the cake table will be the only way i ll get to use it so im determined to have it placed somewhere:thumbsup2

With an Escape wedding at SBP do you have to pay for the table covering? Is it just a basic cover or do they make it look all layered & puff the fabric up?

With the table coverings is it usually 1 colour or can you choose? I figure it ll cost extra if you request a certain colour?

keenercam: i love the sound of the fabric you re using, is this something that Rosie is providing?? If so can i be cheeky & ask how much this is costing you?? Anything thats pink & shimmery is always fab in my book  :thumbsup2

We were SBP December 5th 2008. This is what the cake table looked like then. We had an escape wedding so it was basically what they decided to do...
