Declined cruise doc booklet

I went back and declined the DCL documentation booklet after having done online check in and still received a booklet, but it's only 6 pages. Has this happened to anyone else?

Are you saying that you did the online checkin. Then went away from the reservation. Then went back later to the online check in to decline the book?

If yes, possibly you missed the cut off date for when it would be put in the mail.

Yes. I checked in at the 105 day mark for Gold, which was back mid-March. At that point there was not the option to decline the booklet. Then at the end of March DCL made changes to the online check in process allowing you to check "please send my luggage tags only," so I went back in to my online check in and did that probably the first week of April. I received a booklet the other day for my cruise that leaves at the end of June, but instead of being 29 pages long like the ones I received last summer, this one was only 6 pages. I was wondering if the 6 page booklet is what you're supposed to receive if you opted for luggage tags only or if all of the booklets are now 6 pages.

Yes. I checked in at the 105 day mark for Gold, which was back mid-March. At that point there was not the option to decline the booklet. I did the online check in March, and when I found out about the opt out, I called DCL and asked about whether we'd be receiving it or not. I was told that those who had already checked in would be defaulted to receive the booklet.

One question, where in the online check out is that option? OK, another one, was it just an opt out option or did you have to select either "yes" or "no"?

I did my online checkin and also declined the book. I don't find it useful. Maybe if you're a first time cruiser you don't get the option. I remember it being near the end. This was for my 9/9/17 cruise

What is the content of the six pages you did receive? Is it related to luggage/ onboard airline check in info? Is it legal mumbo jumbo that they legally have to make sure you get?

I don't remember exactly where it was in the check in process, but I agree with n2mm, I think it was near the end. The DCL blog has a nice screen shot of it. You have a choice of "Yes, send my luggage tags only" or "No, please send my Final Cruise Documentation along with my luggage tags." It's apparently only an option if you've cruised before and are on a closed-loop cruise. And the blog also states that you'll receive a modified version of the Travel Booklet, so maybe that's what I received.

It has the Welcome page, Embarkation Info, Sailing Itinerary, and Flight Info. Oh, and the map of where to pick up ground transfers at MCO. I think some of the legal mumbo jumbo is on the Review Cruise Contract page where you select to agree to the contract?

Okay, now I know why I couldn't find it... the Transatlantic is not a closed loop cruise! Thanks for sharing the link.
