We, Dh, Ds, & Dd are cruising with our friends in November. We are in connecting rooms, category 9 on Deck one. Can anyone offer any feedback on deck one. We are in mid ship.
Thanks!

Deck one will have 2 smaller portholes instead of one big one. Also being in the middle of the ship is usually a good thing, most people say you feel less movement. Being on the lowest deck is good also as far as feeling the ship move goes. Im sure you'll love your room. :D

We stayed in 1048 on the Magic in March and really enjoyed it. It was only two floors from the atrium, 2 restaurants and guest services. It was close to the gangplank where you exit the ship - which I really appreciated coming back from port with two exhausted kids. It is not crowded at all and there is almost no hall traffic because there are so few rooms down there. It was a little noisy when we docked at St. Maarten, it sounded like they were beating the side of the ship with a big metal object, but we were awake anyway.

makaylee is right, you will have two small portholes instead of one large one. It was great for us becuase each kid could have their own.

I'm sure you will like it. I would have no reservations about staying there again.

On our first cruise we had category 9 cabins on deck 2 and loved them. When I booked our second cruise I asked for cat. 9, deck 2 again. The confirmation papers came in the mail and it showed that we were on deck 1. I called right away to have it changed to deck 2 because I wanted the BIG porthole (3 ft diameter), instead of the two tiny ones (1 ft diameter).

We had the same cabin last year as you Mickeyboat! Was a superb place to be - for the same reasons you gave. You certainly dont feel the motion of the boat much do you?! Nat:Pinkbounc

natdencro - not much motion down there at all. Just enough to lull us to sleep. Except Thursday night! Holly cow were the waves big. I wonder how big they actuall were!
