not sure what they mean by enclosed verandah although the word pretty much speaks for itself. do they mean it is pretty much just an extension of the stateroom with no outside air and sound exposure?

It is an extension but you get to it thru a door and there is a very large open porthole, but the entire space is not fully open like other verandahs.....

There is also a padded bench for seating instead of the small table and chairs like on other balconies. The have a nautical design.

These are called Navigator's Verandahs and there are only a few of them.

No, it's actually a verandah but instead of being completely open it has a large porthole opening. It's called a Navigator's Verandah and provides a little more privacy and protection from the elements. There's still a sliding door between the verandah and the room just like in the regular verandah's. Instead of two chairs, it has a bench against one side and a talbe and one chair.

Hope that helps.

thanks folks, small world vacations is looking into my choices and that is one of them, sounds like it would be ok.

The nautical theme makes the navigator verandah preferred over the regular verandah by our family.
