Deck 7 Anyone?

Hey--we're on Deck 7 on the Wonder. Anyone done Deck 7 and liked it? If so, why? Is it identical to all of the other decks?

On our DCL cruise we were in 7504/06 and loved the location. If you check the stateroom reports you may be able to get e report on your specific stateroom. Follow this link, I think...

We have been on 7 a few times. Loved it!!
we were always aft so we just zipped up to the buffet and pools. We never waited for the elevators, just used the stairs because it was so close.
It was very quiet because no clubs or theaters for people to be going to an dfrom on that deck, only rooms for sleeping.
Check out the secret deck at the back of deck 7 too. Nice and quiet area to relax.

That is our favorite deck!!! Deck 7 forward every time.

Deck 7 is our favorite deck as well, but we prefer aft. Deck 7 is a quick trip up to all that deck 9 offers (spa, pools, buffet, drink station). It is also an easy trip down to 3,4, and 5 for all they offer.

Very handy to get to the pool, and buffet.

Also we get a cat 10 / 11 inside room, so we make good use of the secret sunbathing deck

We were also on deck 7 - aft- room 7106. It was GREAT. Awesome location and just a quick trip up to Topsiders!

We have done 7004 Wonder (DSIL, DBIL & their 2 were in 7006), 7014 Magic, 7132 Wonder (yuck--we don't like the solid walled verandahs and there was no steamer trunk) and 7012 Magic. Next cruise back in 7014 Magic. As others have stated, no need for the elevators--a fast use of the stairs to deck 9 for pool, cokes, buffet, ice cream, snacks, ping pong, and from there up to 10 for DS's favorite spot on the ship, the basketball court, and then easy down to 5,4,3 for the clubs, shows, movies, restuarants, lounges, etc. Love it, love it, love it. Others are accurate that Aft allows easiest to BeachBlanket/Topsiders or to get a coke (or a cookie), but for us the basketball being forward and Ds's love of the court balances that out. (And cat. 8's being all up front also healps make that decision for us--the cat. 5 7132 was an upgrade from the upgrade fairy). Advantage to taking the stroll the from fore to aft when we get up to deck 9--burns off 16 of the previous days 8,000 calories; also allows you to pass by and sample the afternoon snacks at quiet cove pool, to tide you over until pinnochios, and that slice is about gone by the time you reach pluto's to grab a snack until the rest of the family joins you to go to lunch at the buffet and then dessert from goofy's/formerly scoops....

Can you tell we love deck 7?

Love deck 7! Took stairs everywhere. Close to everything. Last time cabin 7584. Next 7576. Wouldn't want any other deck.

We had deck 7 and loved it. As everyone else has stated...quick access to everything via the stairs.

I just found out I was assigned Cabin 7134 for our July 16th cruise, which I am really bummed to find out it is the solid wall verandah.

When I booked I wanted mid ship Cat 6, Deck 6 but it was all full. So I was told that if I paid more for a Cat 5 my chances were better. Now to find out I not only got aft but a solid wall verandah. The plexiglass verandah is what we were most after. I am traveling with a Dd3 and she still takes naps so we spend time in the room, and the verandah was the best part.

Is there any chance I can complain and get an upgrade? Especially paying the extra money. How do you go about asking for an upgrade?

I'd love any advice.

We have done DCL three times. 2x on deck 7 and once on deck 5. Most recently on 7624. Deck 5 was nice but as has been posted deck 7 is so much closer to deck 9. We would walk up to deck 9 and back again and always down to the lower decks. We could take the elevator up or walk a few..we always stayAFT because the motion is a lot less. I don't like noise and don't think I would like to be on 8 under everything that goes on with deck 9.

We had 7570 mid-aft and loved it. Just down the hall from the laundry and very convenient!

Just got off of 4th cruise in 7127 cat. 11 aft. The last 2 cruises were 7 nights.
