It all depends on your location. Check out Dave's list of noisy staterooms at www.dcltribute.com
If you have a nightclub overhead, the potential for noise is pretty good (bad?!). We were in 2626 once, and it is over a loading door and under the galley, which made for a very non-restful trip. But there are also some good areas on Deck 2...you just have to choose wisely.

We did the 7-day eastern cruise in cabins 2583/2585 and had no problems with noise at all. The location was quite convenient to the entire ship.
In November, DW Sue and I were in 2629 and the noise situation was a bit different. We were right next door to where all the luggage is stored. There was a lot of noise on the final night of the cruise as the CMs stored every piece of luggage right next door to us. We could also tell whenever the ship was docking as it sounded as if the engines were in our cabin. As fussy as I am about noise, these sounds didn't really bother us as much as the ping pong table that was above our Cat4 room (8552) on our first Disney cruise.
I think that the overall humming of the ships engines does a very good job covering up all the various sounds of being on a cruise ship. Beside, you're on a cruise ship. What could be better!!!
2520 was fine, although listed on the "noisy-room" list. Never heard a sound from the nightclub. Others haven't had as much luck with this room, though. I guess it depends on your own personal tolerance for noise.
We are booked in cabin 2626 for our July cruise. We are pretty sound sleepers and sleep with the television on (not loud) all night, every night. Do you think the noise will bother us? Should we look at switching cabins?
Hey MeMe!!! Hope you get the answer to your questions...I am sure you will have time with all the snow we have outside....sorry about the other day ...my phone went dead!
Disneyworldborn2shop,
It will probably depend a lot on your specific noise tolerance. I could have dealt with the noise from the galley overhead in 2626...it was somewhat annoying, but the same thing can happen if you have noisy neighbors overhead in a cabin on the upper decks. But I could not sleep through the noise of the loading door below at all. Interestingly, when we are in my favorite stateroom, 5650, the side thrusters will wake me up when we are docking but I can fall right back to sleep with no problem if I don't feel like getting up. But I met someone staying in 5150 (the mirror room), and the noise was driving them crazy! They didn't even like the hum of the engines, which totally soothes me. In 2626, the noise was more of a banging than vibration or humming, so that bothered me. If I am under a nightclub and can only hear the bass, that would keep me awake (and people yelling or running in hallways drives me insane), but if I could make out the actual music, it wouldn't. Personally, I wouldn't stay in 2626 again, but maybe I'm just a fussbudget

any thoughts on noise level in 2135 & 2137? We have these adjoining rooms and your thread made me wonder about this. I don't see any obvious worries when I look at the ship "map".
thanks.
