Hi!
We will be taking our second Disney cruise Dec. 5, 2004. We also took one 19 yrs. ago (NCL). Both cruises he was sick to his stomach almost the whole trip (we had a verandah cabin last time). This time we opted for the lower cabins on deck 2 (price + there's 5 of us) and also hoping that it will be better for him. We are not exactly in the middle of the ship but not on the end either. 2607 & 2609. Also, he wants to start using his patch a week before instead of 24-48 hrs. before boarding. What do you think? He's very nervous. He is doing this trip only because the rest of the family wants too!
Also, are these cabins considered Deluxe Inside Cabins?
Oh! one more Question! Will the ship be decorated then for Christmas?

Thanks! :Pinkbounc

just got back my parents were in cat 10 on deck 2 and there were in the back so it is much ruffer there and they had no problems my mom gets VERY sick she put the patch on an hour before she got to the boat. And had no problems the whole cruise and trust me we had some really bad weather the last night! I would not reccomend putting the pacth on early....

The ship will most definitely be decorated for Christmas at that time! It is beautiful and makes it just that much more magical. We have never had a problem with seasickness but have been with people who do suffer with terrible motion sickness and report great results with the patch. I pray he has a wonderful trip this time!

goofyguy07 I am in 2607 in 2 weeks!!!! I'll let you know how it is when i get back..

We were in 2071 and 2073 and I loved these staterooms. THey were midship and just one flight up was the atrium abd guest services. A GREAT location:bounce:

I recommend that he try the/a patch a month ahead of time. Many people react badly to the patch. You don't want to be on the ship and get sea sick or sick (or sleepy) from the side effects from the meds. By "testing" the patch or any other meds well before leaving gives you the opportunity to change/modify the treatment before your cruise, so you can enjoy it to the fullest.

Hello,
We were in 2601 less than a month ago. My 18 year old daughter tends to get carsick and I was concerned with her stomach/equilibrium when we first began sailing. She has never had a problem. There were times that we experienced rough seas , but were very comfortable on Deck 2.

Good Luck and Enjoy,
Dawn Hope

I hope I can help......we went 11/29/03 and we were in 2611 (DON'T get this room--right next to an employee area-maybe an employee elevator because we heard loud noises around 3 am every night!!! Awful!). Anyway--my sister and her boyfriend were in 2605 and loved it. We liked ours for everything but that wee hours time of night when the service elevator or employee closet (whatever it was) was ALIVE!! As far as feeling motion--I've done the cat. 6 and 7's (verandah and nav. verandah) on deck 6 and 7 and we felt less motion on 2. We did have record waves that week (15-20 feet one day) and compared to the other 6 cabins booked w/in our family (all on 6 and 7)--we had the least complaints as far as motion. It takes a lot for me to feel nauseated so I was fine even w/out dramamine or anything else. DH did take some meds one day (the record waves day) and stayed in bed. But as far as the location goes under normal circumstances--liked it better than our verandah rooms!! Yes, they are the deluxe inside cabins--exact same size as 9, 8, 7, 6, and 5--NOT including their verandahs of course............also--WILL be decorated for Christmas as will Castaway Cay!!! Have fun and I'm jealous!
