Okay, I am trying to book a cruise for my family of 5 next summer.
I have two choices - DCL 4 night in the Bahamas or Royal Caribbean 5 nights to Bermuda Costs are comparable.
An added wild card to the decision is that it is sort of an anniversary cruise and we honeymooned in Bermuda
I am at the point where I might just flip a coin

We've only cruised on DCL(6 cruises), but I'm starting to look at other lines. We have friends who went on a RC cruise last year and loved it. They have done a lot of Disney cruises, but said they are going to cruise Royal from now on. They have older kids(13 and 15) and said there was so much more for their kids. We love DCL, but our 11 yr old dd loves adventure so I'm looking at ships that have more to do on them. We're also getting tired of the same shows on Disney. I would pick a five night over a four night. Haven't been to Bermuda, but I would choose it over Nassau.

Bermuda is spectacular...but you know that, having already been there. We really enjoyed our cruise last fall. However, have you been to the Bahamas or on DCL before? If no, I would lean toward that itinerary since it's new for you. Castaway Cay is awesome!

I would love to do DCL to Bermuda. But do to various family scheduling issues we can only go in June which puts us on RC if we do Bermuda.
The family has never cruised before so that’s why I am leaning towards DCL in the Bahamas.

We did Bermuda with RC last fall and did NOT like it as much as Disney. In fact there were a group of us who were sailing that had sailed Disney in the past and when we docked, the Magic was in port next to us and the general conversation for the next day and a half in port was how feasible stowing away on the Magic would be. LOL Maybe it was due to the fact that RC Grandeur is an OLD ship and we felt like there was next to nothing to do, maybe it was the upcharge for EVERYTHING, but definitely the level of service was NOT there.
In conclusion, Bermuda was phenomenal, RC--not so much.

You can look at this two ways. If you book with Royal Caribbean first and then Disney later, you won’t know what you’re missing and you are going to enjoy your first cruise regardless. If you book with Disney first, you were going to be spoiled and ruined for all other cruise lines. 😂😂😂

I don't like getting nickeled and dimed for everything. Other cruise lines dumb down their buffets and regular dining so that they can justify customers paying for specialty restaurants and meals.

If the 4 and 5-night cruises are the same prices, keep in mind you may end up paying more on the 5-night on onboard dining, gambling, etc....
