Decisions decisions - VEA or TGV

I've been reading about the TGV from CDG airport to DLP, and I'm quite excited at the prospect of using it.

However, I wanted to ask you guys' expert opinion on how easy/convenient I will find it. I've had a wee look at the timetable from CDG to DLP, and I think its going to mean more hanging around at the airport waiting for the train, compared to jumping on the VEA, so I think I'll use the VEA for the outward journey. On the way back from DLP though, it would seem that the TGV makes more sense, as I'd have lots more time at Disney.

I'm travelling back from DLP to CDG on a Friday, and need to be at my check-in at the airport around 5.30pm, for a 7.25pm flight. There is a TGV leaves DLP at 16.32 on that day, so I would arrive at terminal 2 about 16.45. How easy is it for me, plus 6-year old DD, plus one suitcase, to get from the TGV station at terminal 2 to my terminal? Actually, thats another point, in February when I flew with BMIbaby from East Mids to CDG, we arrived at terminal 1. Does anyone know if this has changed? As its an eticket, I have no clue from my BMIbaby documents which terminal I will be arriving at/departing from for my flight in October. Maybe I should find out which terminal my plane will be departing from first, then you guys could let me know about the CDGVAL?

If you really want to try the TGV, then your idea of using the VEA to DLP and the TGV back to the airport, is a good one. especially as the times work better that way. We used the TGV last time and had to wait for a long time in the cold and not particularly lovely station. If we got the VEA we probably would have arrived there slightly quicker, and at least have been on a nice warm coach.

The new CDGVAL sounds like a great alternative to the old system of shuttle buses between the terminals. I haven't used it yet, but as far as I can tell you can only go one way from the TGV station stop. You should get to the Terminal 3 walk about 4 minutes later (and then have a walk of a few hundred yards to the Departures door), otherwise it should take about another 4 minutes to Terminal 1 where you will have the fun job trying to find your check-in desk!!

I would say that, for me, having a six year old and a suitcase would probably steer me towards the VEA for the ease of the door to door service. But if you really want to try out the TGV then it would certainly be doable.

Don't know how up to date this is, but according to this BMIbaby still(?) fly into Terminal 1.

We have used the CDGVAL. The new system is great. We had to walk from Terminal 3 to the CDGVAL station (with a 6 year old it will take about 7 minutes). And then you are within 4 minutes at terminal 1 and/or 2. From the TGV station it is only 2 minutes from the CDGVAL to your train.
The CDGVAL is like a Metro with only 4 stops. I said to my boyfriend: "I feel like at a DLRP attraction!" Because the train runs without a driver.

It does sound like the TGV back from Disney will be the better option for me. I'll be able to stay in the parks at least an hour longer I reckon, compared to taking the VEA.
