Hi all! Planning our next trip for May. Taking my DH, DS along with my family (4 adults). DS is 5 now and to save points we don't think we need a 2 BR villa and can a manage with 2 studios but I can't decide on locations. We've stayed at WL, AKL, SS and loved them all. BW and BC are available and we want to try something new. BW has a gorgeous setting/view with a walking/ boat potential. The pool doesn't seem that exciting and while there are food places, there's no quick service caf. style location ( remember we aren't going to have a kitchen this time). BC has an amazing pool set up, quick service food ,quick walk/ boat options but seems "ehhh" on the setting. What are peoples thoughts? We tend to park in the morning, pool mid day and park again with the little man so we will definitely be back and forth. Thanks in advance!:wave2:

Me think you already made your decision. Best wishes.

I've stayed at both and throughly enjoyed both but if I had to choose, I'd take BC. I like not having to go outside for the restaurants and love the decor.

In either case, your family of 4 adults will have 2 adults on a double sofa bed. I would go with OKW just to give them 2 Queens.

Both resorts are great choices for different reasons. (Although I do agree you may want to consider whether or not adults want to be on pull outs for the vacation ).

Our family prefers BWV. The lack of an on site food court isn't that important to us. There is plenty of availability of eating options. The Boardwalk bakery has great option for breakfast and lunch. It's a nice walk to BC to take advantage of their offerings. That doesn't resolve the issue of inclement weather however....

We like BWV's principally because of the setup at the quiet pool right beside the community hall. Particularly when you have only one child and the rest are adults. Children can participate in crafts, play ping pong and games and the adults are right there at the pool. The slide pool is just around the corner. We are fans of the dvc quiet pools and this one was perfect because our kids could swim and then do community centre stuff...meanwhile the adults in the group were right there.

There is no doubt that the BC pool is more exciting. So if food options and the pool are your priorities , you will enjoy BC more.

We stayed at both this year. My TR in my signature has pictures of them both. We own BWV, so am partial to that resort over BCV. While the walk to Epcot is longer, we also was to DHS from BWV as that is shorter than BCV. It may be easier to do the boat ride though.

The one thing I didn't like about the SAB was the entrance to the water slide. I didn't like going all the way across the walkway. The weather was ok, but I can imagine would be difficult with hot concrete on bare feet, and I certainly don't want to wear crocs/ flip flops on a water slide.

BWV also has the Boardwalk Bakery for QS and SeaShore sweets. We usually get a pizza from the Pizza window and eat it at the pool.

Food is better in Beach Club, Boardwalk Villas are closer to Swan & Dolphin Signatures (which we prefer anyway).

Beach Club has very popular sandy bottom pool, Beach Club has Clown Pool which can scare some children. We prefer the quite Boardwalk pool to crowded Beach Club pool.

Beach Club is closer walk to EPCOT, Boardwalk closer to Hollywood Studios.

We prefer Boardwalk, but a reasonable choice is Beach Club.

Our family loves BWV too. The location is fantastic, my kids love the pool (clown included) and especially the slide. They find that the Community Hall is also a plus.

We have stayed at both locations with our children, 6 and 8. While we liked both, we preferred BWV in regards to the pool. The pool at BCV is nice, but with younger children I didn't like that the slide had to be accessed by leaving the pool area and walking across the walkway to Epcot. Also, the little kid slide area is completely outside of the pool area. Finally, the pool is so sprawling and oddly shaped that it is difficult to maintain constant sight lines on the children, we thought.

We are owners at both BCV and BWV. Both are great locations. You won't be disappointed with either of them. With that said, we personally prefer the BCV. The pool is the BEST! Your son will love it. Between the sand bottom and the pirate slide you can spend all day there. BCV feels more resorty (if that's a word ...lol) than the BWV.
Enjoy! You'll have a great stay regardless of which one you choose. Being able to walk to EPCOT and HS is key. We would also walk through EPCOT and jump on the monorail to MK.

Our next 2 trips are booked for BCV in late Nov/Dec and BWV in May. We own at BCV and I agree with the previous poster about the pool there being so large and sprawling that it is extremely hard to keep track of young kids.

You can't go wrong with either one though. Have fun on your trip!
