Decision fatigue for table service dinners

To start off, we aren’t heavy eaters and my husband has said he does not want a buffet. We will have tweens with us that may or may not eat off the kids menu. I am really struggling with decision fatigue. We are staying at AKL. Aiming for under $200 after tip for a meal for 4.

I am aiming to book one table service a day except break day. We would like Moderate priced table service. Honestly three bridges is my favorite for food/price/setting but I want to try something new.

Sunday: Typhoon Lagoon for lunch, DS Frontera Cocina
Monday: Epcot day- lunch by the pool, dinner at Epcot
Tuesday: break day- Sanaa for breakfast, dinner ???
Wednesday: AK day-lunch at Sautuli Canteen, dinner Yak and Yeti??
Thursday: MK day- lunch by the AK pool, dinner at MK or Sanaa or monorail resort?

How long would it take to go to a monorail resort? Is it worth it in the summer? We take long midday breaks.

Here is where we ate in the past that was fine but want to try something new: ohana, Tusker house, skippers canteen, liberty tree, be our guest. I guess skippers canteen we would do again if nothing else stands out. The others were too much food.

Here is what we have really liked in the past:
Homecoming
Three Bridges
Frontera cocina
Sautili canteen
Sanaa lunch

Spice Road Table for Epcot day. MK day maybe the new table service at the Poly Tower or whispering Canyon at WL. Too many choices on resort day. Maybe look at pricing at Steakhouse 71 at the Contemporary. Sebastian’s at Caribbean Beach gets good reviews.

Another vote for Spice Table @ Epcot. It sounds like a place your family would enjoy in terms of food amts and price. Lovely variety of appetizers, peaceful and nice views from the outdoor seating. It’s a constant for us and we never need ADRs at lunch time.
Just a heads up- Sanaa serves breakfast to go not sure if they seat people as well.

Have fun!

Yak and Yeti is one of my favorites. DW loved Big River Grille on the Boardwalk but gone now. If you decide a monorail resort dinner, Kona Café is another favorite. I can’t remember the dinner prices but even with two of us eating sushi I don’t remember it being more than $150 for our family of 4.

Epcot - I would also recommend Spice Road Table. Great food and atmosphere - servings are plentiful, but not too big and cost is reasonable IMHO.

Break day - sounds like you are staying at AK? I would consider just doing QS there for breakfast/lunch (Mara or Sanaa grab and go) and doing Sanaa for dinner before the sun goes down so you have a chance to see the animals

AK day - Yak and Yeti is a good choice!

MK day - I would stick with Skippers if you don't want to leave the park. If you take long midday breaks, I don't know if I would leave the park again for dinner.

Consider Grand Floridian Cafe at the Grand Floridian on MK day, early dinner ressie is 5pm and then monorail back to MK for nighttime activities

Epcot Spice Road Table was good (did that as a solo traveler last July, generally would not be my familes cup of tea but I enjoyed it) for lunch not usually a ressie needed, dinner maybe
Although on EPCOT day we usually just get counter service meals/snacks and share due to the varirty to always try!

Break day, just so many choices, how to narrow it down?!?!

We loved liberty tree tavern ....

Get a landrys gift card at Costco- 100 for 80 and use it at Yak and Yeti
Second Grand Floridian cafe for good food and fair prices.
Trattoria al Forno in DS is one of our favorites for fair priced tasty Italian

GF Cafe would be right up there on my list if you want a mid-day break from MK, or a nice spot for your break day. You could easily share 3 meal among 4 and be satisfied but not too full. Sorry, but skip Ohana, it is over-priced, over-salted, and nowhere near as good as it apparently once was.

We deliberately avoid planning any table service meal in Epcot. It is just too much fun to nosh our way around the festival booths. If I wanted to get out of the heat mid-day, I’d try one of the Italian spots.

You only have one DS selection on your potential list. I usually have 3 or 4, and usually scrap them all in favour of the Polite Pig. This happens even when we say we want to try something new. OK, it’s officially an addiction. I was amazed to find out that certain outside tables actually have table service, which is much nicer than going through quick service line.

Sebastian’s is not bad, as long as you don’t have any picky eaters in your group. MY DH and at least one adult grandchild would not be impressed at all. Aside from some dietary restriction options, you get what you get, served family style. The food is mildly Caribbean-styled and there is no ordering a burger if that doesn’t appeal.

If this is a summertime trip, beware of water parks on the weekends. Locals love them and they can be packed. We found this out last year after finding ourselves in “overflow parking” essentially in a field, well beyond staff parking. Perhaps having both water parks open for the summer will ease the congestion considerably, but the TL wave pool has a big following.
We loved liberty tree tavern ....
Have always wanted to try LTT!
