Decision 2016: Biergarten vs Flying Fish 2.0

With the news that Flying Fish is opening up in a few days, we now have a conundrum:

Try it out or keep our ADR for Biergarten. There will be 8 of us...4 adults, 4 kids (2 or whom are Disney adults)
None of us have been to either...

The fate of America is in the balance. What to do?

I'm doing both... not helping I know, sorry... In all seriousness though, I think it's 2 really different restaurants. I would go with whichever type of food your group would prefer. Personally, I like the menu of Flying Fish much better

I think the adults would prefer the new menu for Flying Fish that I saw, and the kids might prefer the choices on the buffet... Maybe I can just send the four of them to Biergarten while we sip and snack...

Probably not a good idea. I will see if I can grab the FF ADR

Flying Fish, in the past, has been on our must do list every single time and we have never been let down.

To be fair, I do not like Biergarten at all

I like your idea of splitting the group off

Bit the bullet and booked Flying Fish.
Now we need to find some strudel that my daughter craves

I think you will be very happy with your choice. I was up at 6 to be sure we got our reservation. I really hope the new menu is as satisfying as the old one....and I hope the FF staff we are used to is back.

I think it will be great. Always wanted to try it and we had anticipated it being closed during our trip, but it will be open.
Trying a bunch of new ones (for us): Teppan Edo, Tiffins, FF, Captains Grille

Are there a variety of options on the FF menu for those who don't like/eat fish? My sister doesn't like fish, and it always annoys her when we choose to have dinner at a fish restaurant because there are usually dismal options for her. She's an adult who doesn't enjoy typical kids-foods (yes, we've had places suggest she get a double portion of nuggets/fingers and fries) and with diabetes has to avoid carbs (so that lets out pasta options). While the rest of us are drooling over the seafood options, she is usually limited to one or 2 dishes (a chicken prep or steak). I try not to choose seafood restaurants for larger groups as there is always someone who doesn't like fish.

Of the 9 offerings currently listed under entrees, 3 are non seafood. 1 chicken, 1 beef, 1 bison

You can get apple strudel at Sommerfest, the quick service place in Germany. Enjoy your trip!

I like both, but I think with kids I would pick Biergarten for the atmosphere.
