Hi Everyone!

I am currently planning my 2023 Disney World vacation! I am trying to decide which week in April or May to go, my options are:

April 25-30th
May 2-7th

Which week would y'all pick? I am considering weather and crowd level. I hope that Easter crowds would have cleared out by this time. I see there are some cheer and dance competitions durng this time frame, but does that have a large crowd impact in the parks? We are only going to Epcot and MK since those are our favorite parks :) I assume there will be some crowds in MK for Tron/Happily Ever After, but that's ok since we get to see Happily Ever After again too!!!

Thanks!!

I would do first week of May. I've been to the parks when cheer/dance competitions were happening and I didn't see any groups in the parks. If I did see them, they were at Disney Springs. You'll only really notice them if you're staying at the All Stars, Coronado and maybe Caribbean Beach.

There is D2 Summit cheer competition May 5-7. Some might come in early (my family flies in May 4 but don’t compete until 6th) and some could stay after (I fly back the 8th). We have very little time to actually be in the parks. I wouldn’t be worried about that week. I’ve been there with large groups led by flags that were way more annoying.

Weather wise there isn't going to be much difference, it might be a tad hotter in May and a tad more rainy. I've been just about every week in April and May and really only notice the difference in weather the later it gets in May.
