I am wondering whether I should choose lagoon or theme park view at GF for an adult's only trip for just a couple nights.

What pros and cons can you give me? :confused3

If you book a lagoon view room in Big Pine Key, Bocha Chica or Conch Key, you will get a Magic Kingdom view from your balcony. I prefer Big Pine Key, you will have a lovely view across the lagoon of Poly resort but you just have to look to your left and you will see the castle, top of space mountain and some of the main gate. You will definitely have a good fireworks view from any of the buildings.

Eh, for a couple nights the cost won't be that big of a deal. Go for the MK view. That being said, if I were going for a longer time, I wouldn't waste the money again.

Personally, I do not think that the lagoon view rooms at the GF are better enough than the garden view rooms to merit the price increase. Plus, there is a good chance that you may face the upcoming DVC construction in a lagoon room facing toward the Poly/CR (which is especially likely if you are in Big Pine Key). I would either go for garden view or MK view depending on how much time you expect to spend in your room enjoying your view. The MK view is definitely magical if you will make use of it! If you decide to go for the MK view, place a request to be in Sago Cay or Conch Key.

I agree I would never pay for Lagoon over Garden. However if you can afford Theme Park, go for it. :thumbsup2

To the previous poster who stated you can book lagoon view and get a great MK view - that is no longer the case. Several years ago, the GF room categories were changed, and now there are garden view, lagoon view and theme park view rooms. It is possible there are a few lagoon view rooms that have a blocked view of the MK, but any room that was previously designated "lagoon view" with a good view of the MK is now charged as a TPV room.:flower3:

We have had 3 different lagoon view rooms in Big Pine Key, all of which faced the Poly with no possibility of seeing the MK. As mariamouse posted, all of these rooms look directly at the current DVC construction (if not blocked by trees!). Here are a few photos of lagoon views in BPK:

We, too, feel the price increase for lagoon is not worth it - but TPV is great, and with only 2 nights, it won't make a huge difference in your overall cost.:goodvibes

Good luck, and have a Grand vacation!:goodvibes
