DD has been begging for a phone and the price of the page plus plans finally won me over. Now I'm trying to find a phone.

I read over the info on Kitty Wireless a few times but am still confused about what types of phones will work and which are the best values. I found some of the Kyocera phones listed that Kitty Wireless says are compatible on ebay for about $50. Can I find them any cheaper? I would also consider a refurb with a warranty from a reputable seller.

I'm still not clear on specifically what other phones can be used. It has to be an unlocked or prepaid Verizon phone, right? Some of the amazon and ebay listings are titled "Page Plus T Mobile phone" or similar. How can a TMobile phone be page plus- compatible? :confused3 So confused. Can anyone steer me in the right direction?

It has to be a Verizon phone and it cannot be a pre-paid one (unless it has been previously activated on Verizon for at least 6 months). There are also exclsuions like no Iphone although some people have had them activated, they are just not officially allowed. I'm pretty sure you can't use any 4G phone either because Page Plus does not offer 4G speed.

I got my dd a HTC Droid Incredible on ebay to activate on Page Plus. Its for Christmas (or maybe her birthday) so I can't comment on it personally but it has good reviews for use on PP. My friend had one on Verizon and she really loved the phone.

Actually luvmy3 sums it up well. The kitty forum is a good resource for info. The early Droid phones all work well on Page Plus.

I used droids without trouble. Even with data disabled. iPhones are YMMV.

Op If you go to www.genius-wireless.com, "Mr. Genius" is really helpful and has tons of patience when helping people new to PP.

He is also on the Kitty Forum web site under MatthewsNC.

I have a Droid 3 and my husband has an old original Droid and we are both very happy with our phones on Page Plus. They were very easy to set up and I think the original Droid sells for about 50 bucks on eBay now.

They are not 4g phones, but at least right now Page Plus does not offer 4g service anyway. We chose PP because we get the best coverage on the Verizon tower network.

Good luck.

Wow, I've never heard of page plus but this looks like something we might consider for my 11 year old as he really just needs to text one or twice a day and only talk on emergencies. Do y'all know if you can activate an Android phone as a talk/text only phone without data? I have an old Samsung Fascinate that he can have but he doesn't really need data.

You don't have to use data but if you go with a monthly plan it is included in the price you pay per month. You could do the refill cards every 120 days and just not use data. Either way, its not required to activate a phone, it just comes with the service. (Does that make sense).
I keep the data turned off on my phone at home and use wi-fi if available while I'm out. I think I've used data 3 or 4 times. I do the $12 a month plan and its very little data included. My ds also has PP, he uses the $10 every 120 days since his phone is for emergencies.

Thanks! Yes, I'm thinking the $12 a month plan should be plenty. I didn't realize it came with 10MB of data! He has wi-fi everywhere he goes so that would be perfect.:thumbsup2

I'm trying to activate a Samsung Fascinate with the $12 plan. I created an account online, and I'm wanting to port a Cricket number, but when I add a phone, SCH1500 does not appear on the drop down box. Of course, they're closed today.:confused3 Has anyone had this experience?

We just activated Driod2's on page plus this week. They are also not in the drop-down box. Just don't select anything - make or model and it goes through fine.

I got an older droid on ebay for $50..it works great on PP! I usually carry the 29.95 plan.... but I keep data turned off mostly...just turn it on once in a while if needed,
I just heard about a plan thru PP You have to go to a local dealer to get set up,it's like $80 for 2000 minutes for a year (?) which is cheaper tha tracfone, and in my area, PP has the best coverage, tracfone is awful coverage.
For my dis trip I used the 55.00 2gb data plan....but otherwise I don't use much
