I noticed (oddly enough) that there are some great deals on packages and hotels in early and mid-December for WDW. I'm almost tempted to say, "Pffft! I'm goin'!", without giving it a second thought. I've only been there on December 1st, which had almost no crowds whatsoever, and during Christmas week, which was absolutely packed. Is the second week of December usually crowded?

This is our favourite time to visit Disney .
The parks are quiet (even during the second week in Dec) and are all decorated for Christmas .
Wish I was going this year....

The second week of December should be great! We're going the 9-15 and the crowds are supposed to be low during the week and medium on the weekends. You can check out the actual projections at the Unofficial Guide Web site - the next 30 days of their crowd calendar is always available for free. (Google "The Unofficial Guide's Online Trip Planner" - for some reason their url is a "bad" word here)

You might have to scramble to get ADRs if you care about that, but other than that I can't think of any reason not to go!

Wow! This really surprises me. I guess it's kind of like how New York is jammed for New Year's, and then like a ghost town (as far as tourists go) on January 2nd.
