Has anyone gotten a good rate for december yet? We are traveling from the 21st-8th and we need a Minivan. Thanks for any help!

I know people who are traveling in August & September have been getting some good prices through priceline on a minivan - $19-$20/day.

we've reserved a rental car (from 12/8 - 12/15) and got a rate of $233.97 for a full size car. i keep checking every day for new discounts/codes, however, so far this is the best rate we've been able to get. This is with Alamo right outside of Tampa airport..

Those are our exact dates! Where are you staying? We are flying into Sanford. What discounts did you use for that price? I wonder if they would work for another airport?

I can tell you how I look for car rental rates. I go to Expedia or Travelocity to see what the going rates are. I start with the cheapest rates and then look for codes for that rental car company. Codes can be found here:

For instance, I looked up your dates on Expedia and found that Dollar had one of the cheapest rates ($205+ for a full size), so I plugged in code KISS2 (from the Mousesavers link) and got $170 ($223 with taxes).

As for the OP: I also typed in YOUR dates at MCO at Dollar for a Minivan and I got a rate of $199 per week or $251 with taxes.

Everyone ... you're welcome. I need to be good at this kind of thing ... I travel over Christmas/New Year's Eve and rates are now over $400 per week! I have two weeks at $350, but I booked it back in February .
