Can anyone tell me if the parks are really busy the 2nd week of December? We were going to go the 1st week but that is usually pop warner week and we are staying at a value so i do not want to do that? Also when do the dates come out for pop warner and mvmcp? Thanks all

That is normally a great week to go, but over the last two years, especially this year, with the big 50th anniversary celebration, it has been more crowded. It is also a low point season for us DVC members, so a lot of members go from the first week through the week before Christmas. I would think that if you are planning to go in December of 2006, you should be OK, as the 50th anniversary will be over by then. I believe that from here on in, baring {God forbid} another terrorist attack, things are going to start getting back to normal {busy} at WDW, but you should be alright this December. Just avoid Christmas week.....

I think all of December right up to 12/24 is a great time to go. We were at WDW from 12/17 thru 12/26 last month and experienced very small crowds and short waits. The only crowds we came across was at the MK on Christmas morning. And this was made worse when the power went out in the park that morning.

The second week of December should be great....enjoy

Pop Warner is Dec. 3-9. the dates for MVMCP are up. I found them at

That is the week we always go too, Thursday thru Monday.....this past Dec we found it to be busy on Friday and Saturday only, by busy I mean 50-80 minute waits on the popular rides. It really cleared out on Sunday and Monday, there wasnt a wait for any rides at MK on Sunday
