december weather

please help planning a surprise trip for hubby in december i need to know are you able to use the pools in december or is it a little chilly? thanks

We have been there in December numerous times. It can be 80 degrees and sunny, or it can be 65 and cloudy (and anywhere in between). Take your swim wear...you just never know. But also pack jeans and sweatshirts, especially for the evenings.

When we went last December the warmest day was about 78 - the kids loved swimming but it was too chilly for me. The coolest day was about 50 - yes for the high, and it was very windy so it was downright cold for FL! Take your suits along - if you can't swim because it's too chilly you can use the hot tubs!

Never can tell - we always bring bathing suits AND sweatshirts - most of the time we use both during the same trip. The weather fluctuates from warm/hot to downright chilly!

I would LOVE to camp at Ft Wilderness!!! I am soo jealous! We have a trailer but its in a seasonal campground...someday when we retire....lol...I want a 5th wheel for camping at Ft Wilderness.....just dont know where I will park it when I am at a DVC resort??!! lol

The water is a comfortable 80 degrees. Just have somebody waiting with a

Agree, the first trip in Dec for us took only shorts etc. Bought a sweetshirt the first day and never took it off that week.

I agree take the swim wear but pack some warm shirts and pants. You can buy a jacket or sweatshirt while you are there have a souvienere to take home.
