*Crawling back from under my rock*
A little birdie told me that Jeremy asked about me. I am fine, life is just different.
I was workign OT before adn after marathon. Had a personal worst tiem fo marathon, as I pulled a hammy the week before. Had teh most fun ever, though, and took a bunhc of pix.
Returned to work more OT, big deadline at teh end of the first week bacl. Wsa also very sick. To the point tha tI would have missed work if not for the deadline. (Pretty rare for me) So, come Thursday, I was way sick and still wrapping up to get the second wave of work out, and I was laid off. Can I tell you how muhc it sucks to still have to work your tail of for a couple days when you know the job is gone after that?
Now, I knew I shoudl start looking for a job after marathon, as I had ben on 3 days/week most of last year. But the timing really threw me. Then again, coming by surprise is kind of easier than stressing about it.Still wish I hadn't been so good as to sanitize my hands beofre going ot the owner's office.
So, I must admit that I am enjoying my time off. However, teh job search stinks. We would be ok without my income, but htere would be no more Disney trips and no more racing. Totally unacceptable.

SOk, by the time I finish the online job search (really wish I could just byuy a few newspapers and be done), I want nothing to do with the PC. I can Facebook from my phone, but DIS is not so phoen friendly. SO, while I think of all of you often, I am having a hard time getting here.
On the bright side, I booked my Princess airfare the day beore I fot laid off, so I just got back from a great weekend!
Jim - I am so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. Lots of time to prepare, no tiem to prepare, a little time, nothing prepares us. It's just hard and it stinks, no matter how it happens.

Looked for you on the bikes at Princess, but you got lucky again.
Jeremey - Thanks for thinking of me.
Kate - Thinking of my sniley Kate in tears bereaks my heart.

HOping you are recovering ok!
Pam - SO sorry we coudl not catch up at Princess. Hope you had a great time!
Sarah - What an amazing story!!!!
Kathy - Yay for your Make a WISH 5K!
John - lol on Jim's PR! Was so ggod to see you and Kathy in the half! (Probably didn't know who I was, but dh and I were cheering in MK and at teh entrance to Epcot.
Amanda - COngrats on your 10-Miler!
SO, Princess was an odd race. Tiook about 3 weks off ,and tehn re-injured my hammy on a 7-miler. Felt better than I thought, though. Then, caught up with Chimera about mile 8 and just enjoyed my time with her for the rest. Love knowing there are IWSHers on teh course when I am doing a solo race!
Going to get ous on to a March thread and will try to do much better getting back here.
