December Waitlist comes through

We have been waitlisted for a 2 bedroom for the second week of December at all on site resorts since the first of August. I had waitlisted for the whole week, but while I was at the Michigan DVC meet in Novi, someone suggested that I switch to day by day. (Thanks to whoever it was that mentioned this). I finally switched to day by day on Tuesday of this week and today the final 2 days at OKW that we needed became available. Only 70 more days!

This is the first time we have ever been to Disney at Christmas time (oh and our first trip "home") so we are quite excited to see the decorations. Only 70 more days!!!! Yes, we do have our MVMCP tickets, dinner reservations, AP's and we are ready to go - only 70 more days

Congratulations!!! You will love WDW at Christmastime! We just got two days at OKW from the waitlist for early December and can appreciate how you feel about the waitlist coming through. Enjoy!

First Welcome Home - Enjoy your first trip as DVC members - you couldn't have choosen a better time of year - WDW is always magical but around the holidays with all the breath taken decorations its beyond magical! We were there last DEC and joined DVC and we are going back this Dec - You will not be disapointed in anyway - No matter what your expectations are they will be exceded!

Can you explain about the wait listing one day at a time? Do you call every day and ask? This is my situation... I'm on a wait list for Dec. 29- Jan 3 ( I know, wishful thinking right?) Anyway I was wondering the best way to try and get the nights. I will go ahead and make a reservation at a resort on a cash basis and then I can cancel if any days open up on the wait list. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.............

I just told them I wanted to waitlist day by day. I didn't need to call back. When there was an availbility for my waitlist, they called me. If you aren't at home when they call they will hold it for 24 hours (or until close of business the next day).
