December Wait List

Hey everyone, we are heading down to Disney December 8-17. We are staying at VGF for December 10-17 and we are on a waitlist for a 2BR at SSR and OKW for the 8-10. We unfortunately have not received the call that our waitlist has been approved and we are getting a bit panicky. Anyone have any recommendations on other resorts that may lead to our waitlist being activated? I figured SSR was the largest which is why we went with that. Any help is appreciated!

SSR and OKW are your best bets. Changing now puts you back of the line anyway.

I'd have a non-DVC plan B.

I agree ---we would expect OKW and SS are our best chance of getting a room. Hope you're also stalking yourself. Half the time, I can get the room myself before it gets snagged for the waitlist. Good Luck!

I agree you have the best chances right now but I would continue to check the website as well. Waitlists are an all or nothing so you have to have both nights for it to fill. By checking yourself, you might be able to pick up one of the nights and then cancel and do a new waitlist for just one night.

That would increase the chances of the waitlist filling if you can snag one night on your own!

Book something off site if you haven't already...maybe some of the good neighbor hotels still have availability...outside of that, you have the best options you can have for a waitlist to hopefully hit.

I would book 2 rooms somewhere else (I assume you have a larger party?). Even a Value can be fine (for us) if we are on the Skyliner route. Some people useSwan/dolphin as a backup as well. I am cheap and do the Value/DVC split stay some trips.
