Hi all - we are currently holding a one-bedroom villa at the Boardwalk for 12/7 - 12/12.

We recently learned that our daughter, her husband, and granddaughter can join us, along with our son.

We are now waitlisted for a 2-BR Villa at the BWV or BCV.

It doesn't seem realistic to wish for this 2-BR Villa in the very busy time frame. I understand that all five nights need to become available in order to clinch the two-BR.

I am considering waitlisting for two one-BR VIllas, but don't want to confuse MS...

Can you recommend the best waitlist plan??

Thanks so much for your help,
Steve

Unfortunately, I don't think you'll have much success for those dates at this point. December is one of the busiest times of year for DVC properties and some people who have been on the waitlist since 7 months out still haven't had success. Since you've just gone on the waitlist I would guess that your odds are pretty slim.

I think your best bet, at this point, is to reserve something for your daughter and her family for cash, if possible (many WDW resorts are booked up for that time as well) and hope for the best with your waitlist. Then you could cancel the cash reservation if the waitlist does come through.

Good luck!

I agree with CraftyMouse. I've been on the waitlist for a 2BR for just one night at AKV (Dec2) since spring and it has not come through. Lucky I have a one bedroom booked there, I was just trying to get extra space. For one night, we can fit into the one bedroom.

If you really want to stay in a 2 bedroom for those dates, consider expanding your waitlist to include OKW & SSR. If I were in this situation, I would waitlist my dates for all the WDW DVC resorts and also have a cash back up plan. There are undeoubtedly many members ahead of you on the list for BCV & BWV and you need 5 nights to become available all at once. The odds are not in your favor for BCV & BWV (or VWL or AKV). But that doesn't mean you shouldn't try - you could get lucky.

Hope it works out for you.

I agree. You really need to open the waitlist up to all DVC WDW resorts. Even then your chances are pretty slim. You may want to look into making a cash reservation for your daughter and family. You can always cancel it if the waitlist comes through.

Thank you all - no cash reservations available for that week at DVC resorts - we have booked at Dolphin for our daughter and remain on the waitlist.

Thanks again!!
Steve
