December Use Year

I think I am confusing myself, but maybe not. I have 150 HH points, and 100 BWV points, December use year. I banked 110 HH points from 2002. I sold back 100 2002 BW points. I will receive 150 HH points in Dec 2003 plus have the 110 banked points, 100 BW points.

OK now here is what is confusing me. If I book a vacation for February 2004 at BW now - I will actually be borrowing points that I receive in Dec 2003?? And I can't use the banked points until Dec 2003?? Or can I book now for Feb 2004 at whatever the 7 month window is and use the banked points, I don't think I can I think the banked points are for Dec 2003 - Dec 2004.

When I bought the resale for HH, I had next to no paperwork to sign. When I just added on at BW for 100 points, I couldn't believe the paperwork!!! It's just confusing me. I wasnt' confused before, until I read that I could combine the points for banking deadlines, etc. since I have the same use year. So much information - how do you keep it straight?!?!?!?

I hope I can explain it. I have a Dec UY. Dec Use years are confusing because the cross over into a new calender year. It sounds like you banked points into the 03 year, which for Dec UY runs from Dec 03 to Nov 04. So you should be able to use your banked points for Feb 04 trip. You don't actually borrow points if your trip is in the same use year as the points you are using. So you Feb 04 trip would use your banked points first then any regular points needed to complete the ressie. That way you could bank the left over 03 points.
I booked a trip that crossed over from one UY to another what a headache trying to manage UY points then!
I'm sure someone with more knowledge will have a better explanation for you. Just when I think I understand Uy, banking and borrowing and I try to explain it to someone I confuse myself.LOL

All points use goes by the date of the stay, not the date of reservation. So with a December use year and a February 2004 stay, your stay is in your December 2003 use year and you would use the points applicable to that use year regardless of when you call to make the reservation.

Stay between December 1, 2003 and November 30, 2004, you can use:

banked 2002
current 2003
borrowed 2004
