We plan to go down to Disneyworld the first week of December 2004. I was curious if any of you will be going down at that time or have been down there at that time in December and how it was?

Starting December 5 Pop Warner Football and Cheer National Championships are held in WDW (ends the following Saturday). Unless you are staying at one of the All-Star Resorts you should be fine (that's where we stay and kids grades third through ninth are all over and loud, but they're kids having a good time).

CROWDS: I was there three times during this week and even with all the Cheerleaders and Football players (and their families) the crowds are light.

WEATHER: The first two times we went 2000 and 2001, it was hot as heck! 2003 was on the cold side, I was not happy! The kids only got to swim one day and at night it got rather cold! So . . . it's kind of hit or miss with the weather in December! (2003 there was mist floating above the pool water at night!)

I hope to be returning with both of my competition age daughters again this year! GO MX Cheer, you're #1!!

Hope this helps!!

The first week of December seems to be popular.
Majestic has created a "Who's going" data base that you can use to find out exactly who will be there with you and when.

My family did the same week in 2002. The weather is nice-but unpredictable. We swam, but only because the water was heated. We wore shorts, but froze when we did the water rides...temp was 70-80 every day but below 40 at night.

DW and I have been to WDW the first part of Dec. each year since 1992. The Christmas decorations are up and Christmas shows are being put on. I don't like hot and humid weather so this is usually my kind of weather. When we first went to WDW at this time of year, the crowds were small, but it seems like people are catching on and the crowds are larger now, but manageable.

Great time to go and we will be there again this year.

Its moderately crowded. I was suprised how cold it got so bring sweatshirts. Ummm.... But WDW in Dec. is just like any other month, pure magic! Have fun!::MickeyMo

Gary is right about the Christmas decos...
I was thinking it but forgot to mention it...

EVERYONE has a Christmas tree! The parks, the hotels, everywhere...
All decorated, of course, to the theme of their area.
There's music and snow and carolers...it's really cool!
We met Santa Goofy at AK-that was probably my family's favorite.

Go! Enjoy! You'll Love It!

We'll be down there the week immediately following Thanksgiving. Staying at Pop Century and doing the Dream Maker Gold Plan - meaning we will probably be eating at all the highest class places (and, for me personally, lots of yummy steak!!!). If anyone wants to get together at some point that week, just PM me and we can set up something.

Been there each year since '99, planning on this year too. Lowest crowds of the year, resort value rate season, Christmas decorations AND attractions/shows, great weather, hard to beat, and LOTS of DIS'ers!!!!!:hyper:

I have to say, I have been to WDW the past three years during the first week of December and I will never go again any other time of the year unless the first of October. We LOVED it! We did the Christmas party and the crowds were nothing at all of the parks! For example, we rode Mission Space at EPCOT 3 times in less than an hour! MK normally is the busiest so we did the Christmas party during the week and we had more than enough of our Magic Kingdom fix during the party! We rode whatever we wanted as much as we wanted without any interuptions, maybe a five minute wait at most! I say it is a great week! I was worried about the Cheerleading and Football things but honestly, I think those kids are too busy to be park hopping! Hope I helped!
