It's our family's first Holiday trip and I'm just so curious!!
:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Does the holiday parade have stops at certain sections like the current parade [Parade of Dreams]? If it doesn't have stops,...then any location along the parade route is good for viewing? What's your favorite viewing spot?

Does Fantasmic! change for the holiday season? It'll be our first time seeing Fantasmic! as well.

And the fireworks show is different, correct? What's the prime spot to watch this?

Is the Candlelight Processional on Dec. 1 & 2? Nothing is listed on the DLR calendar, but the parades are scheduled earlier for those days. Are they taping that day for the tv special?

61 more days til Disneyland in all its holiday glory!!

Thanks and any other December-time tips are welcomed!

I don't think the parade stops intentionally. Sometimes floats have to stop because they're going faster than the one in front of them, but not in certain spots. The hub is a good place to watch, as is between the castle and the Matterhorn, and Main Street if you can get a street seat.

No, Fantasmic doesn't change, but it's still awesome!

Fireworks are different. It's "Believe in Holiday Magic!" Very good show, even if you've seen Remember. I've seen fireworks from the hub in front of the castle and from over in Storybookland/on Mad Tea Party. Both are good locations, though nothing beats the hub.

Back by Storybookland is a good location if you want to ride some of the more popular FL rides with smaller waits. For the fireworks, they rope off the main FL area. When the fireworks are over, they do kind of like a rope drop and we walked onto Dumbo and waited maybe 5 minutes for Peter Pan. Very good time to hit FL.

Yes, the 1st and 2nd is the Candlelight Processional. Don't know if it's on TV.

Don't miss Haunted Mansion Holiday or IASWH. Both are good makeovers for the holidays and it's fun to experience an attraction in a different form if you've never seen them before. Also Rudolph's Reindeer Ranch is a fun place to go in the middle of the day. Just have fun and soak in the atmosphere with the decorations and stuff. :thumbsup2

Does it snow only on Main Street and at certain time? I'm really curious how that works.

Most spots along the parade route are good ones. I've found that I can see the stops from almost any spot fairly well. However, the hubs in front of the castle, the train station, and near It's a Small World are all prime spots if you can get them.[/red]

No, it stays the same. Make sure you get seats along the riverbank an hour or two ahead of time--otherwise you'll have to stand through the whole thing and you won't be able to see as well.

My favorite spot is right in the middle of Main St. near the Ice Cream Shop at the end, facing the castle. It snows all along Main Street (comes from on top of the buildings) and I believe it snows over by It's a Small World, too.

Yes the Candlelight Processional is those two days.

HAve a great time! I love going to Disneyland in early December. It's beautiful, not very crowded (on weekdays) and the weather is usually pretty mild.

It snows on Main street and over by IASW. Look on your park maps that day, there will be little snowflake icons along the parade route to let you know where to be. Also, ask any cast member, but from my personal experience, these are the two locations. And it's just bubbles, so, don't expect any real snow. Still fun though.

Make sure to layer your clothes. December here can be warm in the day, but around 4pm starts to get cold. I always bring a jacket to put in the locker, with a scarf and closed-toed shoes (I wear flips to the parks). I am really a wimp when it comes to cold weather, though
