December 12th-14th. Downtown Disney on Dec. 12th, Epcot the 13th (park hopping to ) and City walk the 14th. Its gonna be a fun 3 days!

We are going 12/18-26. I don't think it has hit us yet though. we have not been in so long . Seems its kinda like we are in denial but we are still planning and all that. Maybe it will hit us more once our documents show up here.

I thought of the kids making a chain link and cutting a link off so we can REALLY see how long it is for our trip.

Guess I also think its been SOOO LONG that I worry it will get cancelled. After not going for 7 years and all year of HOPING we get to go and at Xmas time on top of it seems to good to be true for me .
I have wanted to go at this time of year since I was like 6 years old. only took 30 years

We are going Dec 8-15th, staying at Pop Century. We have gone this time of year for the past 5 years. Every year, I use Expedia's site to plug in these dates to see if the DisneyWorld hotels are wide open or sold out. It does not look good this year.
If you plug in the dates of Dec 8th-15th for available Disneyworld Hotels or even just Monday thru Thursday/Friday, Dec 10th-14th, many of the hotels have NO availability. They appear to be filling up very quickly.
Does anyone else use this strategy to watch for crowd levels? Is anyone else worried? I know the crowd levels are predicting a "4" from Monday thru Friday, except Weds being a "5", but I am starting to wonder about that. I believe our secret is out.

I saw 4-7 crowd levels. It depends on which day and which park you're going to.

My whole itenirary(sp?) is based on crowd levels. This is the first time I'm using this strategy and I hope it works! Or their "predictions" aren't wrong!

Yep...I'm afraid the secret is out. I posted earlier (see post #132) that several years ago (and for many years running) the crowd levels during this time were 1s and 2s. Now they're 4s, 5s, and 6s for the same week in December. I guess that's better than peak times, but I sure miss the 1s and 2s.

I use the crowd calendar from the Unofficial Guide. I'll re-post expected crowd levels below for those wondering about the crowds during their visit:

The average crowd level for 12/2-12/8 is 5.4 (out of 10 being the biggest).
Specifically: 6,5,4,6,5,5,7 (Sun-Sat)

The average crowd level for 12/9-12/15 is 4.7.
Specifically: 6,4,4,5,4,4,6 (Sun-Sat)

The average crowd level for 12/16-12/22 is 5.0.
Specifically: 6,5,4,6,4,4,6 (Sun-Sat)

12/23 is an 8.

12/24-12/31 are ALL 10s.

DW and I will be going for our first Xmas from December 23 - 27 and staying at the AKLV. Yippee. We're looking forward to the experience. We have dinner ressies at Marakesh with the CLP following on Christmas Eve (which also happens to be our 14th Anniversary)

I still have to go to an evening class, pack, go to a morning class tomorrow, make sure everything is packed and loaded, say by to the family, and take a nice blue pill to calm me down (for the ride, of course)!!!
