Doing a mid-December sailing on the Dream (just Nassau and CC).

What's the weather like -- still nice enough to go in the water, or is it getting chilly?
Shorts or turning more toward capri weather?

TIA!

Only Mother Nature knows for sure but from past experience, bring shorts as well as your capri pants. You may find the water a little chilly but once you get in you'll be fine.
You may also wish to bring a light jacket or sweater to throw over your shoulders, especially in the evening when you venture outside
on the open decks.

Google the weather for the areas you will be in just before leaving and pack accordingly. This is what we do for each of our vacations and what two other people in our party did not do before leaving for a January WDW vacation. They packed nothing but clothes for warm to hot weather (because it's always warm in FL right!?) and we had two mornings in the mid to upper 30's. My family was prepared they were not.

Obviously you won't have weather this cold but it could be cool; especially in the evenings. For the late fall early winter cruises we have been; on the water was cool when first dipping our toes into the water but once we started moving we quickly acclimated to the temperature and had a very good time snorkeling and swimming. Hoping you will have lots and lots of :sunny::sunny::sunny:

Less than a month to go, DW and I will be in WDW followed by the Disney Dream :yay::flower:

We have done a December cruise before in 2014 to those ports. We are also from Orlando so our packing did not look any different than any other time. :)

Shorts, capris, jeans and short sleeve tees and tank tops for daytime. We pack light weight sweaters or hoodies for those evening hours up on Deck 11 and because the AC will be blasting in the restaraunts at dinner and in the theaters.
We did snorkeling and floating on CC and though it was a tad bit chilly,(and this coming from someone who loves the water temperature at Blue Springs ...73 year round) it evened out as we stayed in the water longer. The air temps are still in the 80s but the humidity is much lower which is a welcome relief. Water temps are probably down to the high 70's in early December, but midway 70's as the month wears on.
Have a great Merrytime cruise! We are also sailing in a few weeks. :)
