We booked a minivan for 2 weeks over Christmas last March for a total after tax of $550. Glad we did, because rates have since skyrocketed.
I see now that a Dollar code (KISS2) gets the rate down to $622 for the two weeks. That's at least in the ballpark, compared to the $1100-$1200 I'd been seeing all summer for my dates.
My question...are any other on-site companies following suit with a simliar rate?
I don't like the fact that I have to go back to the Dollar counter after 1 week to add DH, who'll be joining us mid-vacation, to add him as a driver, and to PAY for him! We would rather use National or Alamo if I could find a comparable rate. Any ideas? Most of what I've been seeing is only good for pick-ups prior to 12/14 -- We're getting in on the 16th.
