December MaGiC or was it?!? TR starts Pg. 39

Thanks everyone for the well wishes regarding DH. He is doing much better.

Now, DS2 is sick. Fever, runny nose, the works. I probably will bring him to the doctor later today just so he can be feeling better fast.

I had been talking about packing a box to ship. I packed it last night. It weighs more than I originally thought. 55 pounds!! But thats 55 pounds less in our luggage. :upsidedow I put diapers, water, formula, baby food, wipes, bibsters (all I could find were ones with Sesame Street characters  ), snacks, all the goodies for the boys & the window decorations. Its all things that won't be coming back with us. It should cost around $27 to send it. I still think its worth it. If I'd have done garden grocer or wegoshop, I would have still had to bring the goodies & window decorations.

Also, remember I ordered those Mickey Mouse engraved cuff links for our anniversary for DH? They still haven't come in & its 2 weeks since I ordered them. I contacted Disney & they said it could take up to 3 weeks!! Thats cutting it close. I emailed them just now again but I hope it arrives soon.

The design we like is a Mickey Head made with 3 green wreaths. It has red Mickey Heads as berries on it. It has MVMCP in the center but I may cut that out. One design is on a white background & one on black. Which to use if I want to keep the wording? I don't want the white or black to show upp on the shirts. I was going to center the design in the middle of the shirt. Anything for the back? Or anything else you guys think would be good?

Monica, do I wash our shirts before putting the design?

Definitely wash the shirts before. NO FABRIC SOFTENER OR DRYER SHEETS!!!! You will have to cut it out exactly (Around the wreath part) or it will be white. I think you should cut out the middle and inside the ears too since your shirts are dark. If you keep the wording I would use the black background, but it will show up black. What you could do is print it like it is, then cut the letters out and iron them on seperately. Then the black or white wouldn't show. I'm not a fan of stuff on the backs of shirts, but that's just me. I'm looking at the writing and I don't think it would cut out w/ that font, but you could make block letters in Word, or I can make them for you.

Hi Roxanne - just checking in! :) Great idea to ship that box of supplies - much easier than having to deal with all that in your luggage.

Love the MVMCP design too! You'll have to post a picture of the final result. I originally thought of making shirts for us but time is a runnin' out!

I'm home today - Matthew is still sick. Poor baby's fever was 104.8 this morning!! He has strep throat & an ear infection & fluid in the other ear. :sad2: Not good. But I am able to work on Disney stuff. So, I washed our shirts, all our new clothes, actually. All together. :rolleyes1 Reds with whites, whites with reds. What was I thinking!!! When I noticed our studio shirts were now pink, I freaked. I put the red shirts in the dryer. No fabric sheet, thats a good thing. But I wasn't supposed to dry Steve's - it might not fit good anymore. But back to our pink shirts, first thing I thought of was wash them again. The guys shirts looked better, I showed them to 2 other people & they say they look fine & white. I thought I still saw a pinkish tint. But my shirt was deffinitely pink around the collar. What now....I was thinking about putting a little bleach in the wash & do it again, but I opted for spraying some spray & wash. Its still washing right now but I took a peek & it looks better. I may have to do it again. Then I go back look at the red shirts. Steve's has a thread that is coming undone. I'll have to fix that cause its about to mess up the whole shirt.

I was messing with the design, printing out a sample & I starting thinking that it may look good if I'd put more than one wreath on each shirt. Maybe 2 bigger ones on mine & Steve's at angles near the right top & left lower. Then add in atleast 2 smaller ones in the left top & right lower areas. I'd do the same thing with the kids only their shapes would be smaller. What do you think? I guess the reasoning behind this is the design looked lost on Steve's shirt. His shirt is big. I'm going mess around with it some more.

Hope Matthew feels better soon. Hopefully the thoughts of Disney so close will speed his recovery.
BTW I received the photopass stuff and my name was spelled right:confused3

You know, now that I thinking about it I think I re-wrote it when I realized I spelled it wrong. My mind is not here when it gets this close...:headache:

It's okay, I can understand that.
10 days for you, can you believe it???

Spray n wash saved the day!! :cool1:

I asked Dh about the multiple wreaths on the shirts & he said he thought it was a good idea but I'm scared it may look too busy.

Happy single digit days!!!! and Turkey day too! i hope matthew is doing better, poor thing, can't imagine being so sick.
The shirts sound cute.

:goodvibes Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I am sad that your little one is sick, but I am glad that he has something that can be treated. It seems like my one year old is starting to get sick. I will probably take him in on Monday.
