If anyone has contemplated this time of year all I can say is GO :cool1:

We had an awesome time. We were literally walking on rides or waiting a mere 5-10 mins. We had one day of rain. It was shorts and t-shirt weather during the day and pants with long sleeves at night. MVMCP was our coldest night(you needed a heavy sweatshirt), but that fit in perfectly with the theme of the night.

MVMCP is wonderful. The decorations, parade, snow on main street, hot chocoalte and cookies, and the special wishes show made this a perfect night. I was tempted to buy another ticket on our last night there just to see it all again.

In Epcot we watched the tree lighting ceremony. Great show and gorgeous lights. The CP was beautiful.

Osborne lights at MGM are amazing. Everything is lit up, even the bikes and BBQ's.

We went to Universal for Grinchmas(My favorite show). Excellent show. After the grinch poses for photos with families. He was hilarious. My picture is great because he had my kids laughing like crazy. I could have sat and watched him interact with families all day long.

Wl and the GF are breathtaking. Staying at the lodge was amazing. Every time we opened our door we were greeted with a pine smell and a view of a huge Christmas tree. The GF had a gingerbread house so big that there is a store inside of it. I really wanted to buy a replica but they were $59 and the girl said they were selling out by 10 every morning. We did buy a shingle to eat and a few other cookies. UMMM!

Kids did a ton of pin trading.

Best meal was by far LeCellier and worst was at Sci FI.

Kids took some surfing lessons at TL :cold: Two out of 3 enjoyed it. The other one kept taking a face dive

We left at a great time- hordes of people were checking in.

I would go at the same time of year again in a hear beat but I am glad to be home with the real snow for Christmas.

ohhhhhhhhhhhh... I just walked in the door too! I agree! Great time to go, but we had some chilly weather this week. I wish it was warmer, but I did manage a light tan.

I'll have a trip report soon, I have to say, at least once a day, my jaw dropped from absolutely horrific behaviour I witnessed!!!

Great to hear from you both about your trips!

Marilynn

Have to agree. Loved the tree lighting at Epcot and the lighted archway.

The Osborne lights were just something amazing too.

I'd go again in a minute in early December.

Tone def- did you get stuck behind the mass of Canadians that went to Buffalo to watch Crosby play? We must have been at the border for an hour.

Welcome home. Can't wait to hear how your trip went also.

Glad to hear that your trip went well! You picked a good week to go for sure. You missed a fairly good snowfall. Looking forward to getting together to share pictures and stories.

That's what the hold-up was!!! We sat in the car for about 30 minutes in line and then turned the car around and headed for the Queenston-Lewiston bridge and basically got waved through!

Glad to hear you had a great trip too! I didn't want to leave - I think I could have done with another couple days quite easily.

Good to hear from both of you....hey, hockeymom, you'll have to have a good chat with my DW...maybe with some coaxing (and pictures) Christmas 2006 at WDW for us :confused3 :teeth:

Funny you should say that.

The whole time I was thinking how much your wife would really enjoy this whole side to Disney. I know she isn't a huge ride fan- I think your whole family would love that time of year.

I think you're right about Marylynn...and the rest of us too!

Did you take lots of pics? Sounds like we should have a great Ptbo. DIS meet coming up in the spring

We just got back too! I agree everything but the weather was amazing-we spent 10 days in absolute awe.

Had a great meal at Cali Grill (again)-disappointed by our CP dinner at Coral Reef-Had 7pm ADR and did not get seated until 7:50 then the server didn't show up until after 8:00pm. Poor marks there-if gratuity hadn't been included I sure wouldn't have left much.

Little or no wait time-I pulled it together this time and rode TOT, RNRC, Test track all for my very first time in the 10 times we've been to WDW (kinda proud of myself)!

Loved all the decorations and the lights.

Oh well! Back to reality.

Welcome back mom_rules....and congratulations on taking a chance and experiencing the "wilder" rides...my DW hasn't been on any of those 3 yet, but she is hinting about trying TOT (was going to do TT, but it's in rehab when we go)...I'll use your story for some 'inspiration' for DW :teeth:

Thanks! They MADE me do It's a Small World-that's far worse than any of the wilder rides. Took 3 days to get that song out of my head.

Welcome back Mom_Rules.

Sounds like you had just as good a time as we did. How was your food at Coral Reef? Was it just the service that you were disappointed with?

Did you get over to the Gf to check out the ginger bread house?

The weather wasn't the warmest but I was ok with that. I like the cooler weather to give me more of that Christmas feeling.

hockeymom-the service was beyond terrible-it wasn't all that busy when we were there. There were about 6 or 7 empty tables. Food was just okay-definitely not a place I would be returning to in any big hurry.

We were thinking about doing Coral Reef Restaurant next trip (were there on our first trip in 2000...food was very good and atmosphere was awesome)...however, instead I think we're going to give Sharks Restaurant in Seaworld a try. Seems to be somewhat similar theming with the giant aquarium (only it's full of sharks :earseek: ). Anyone been there before?

Thanks Mom_Rules- I was thinking of giving it a try next trip but the menu isn't exactly my families cup of tea but I was going for the atmosphere- think I will skip it.

Canadave- that one at Seaworld sounds good. I have never heard of it.

I totally know what you mean and I skipped that ride both times we were at the MK. It's a contagious song, but it's not much of a ride unfortunately. My fave ride? The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh!

I would have to disagree with you unfortunately. If you're taking your family (3-4 people) WDW is okay........I didn't like how wall-to-wall it was. It was just packed. I would go at a different time of year next time, even though the lights and things were fantasmic(uh, fantastic), I didn't like how packed it was, cause lines were long and it was just too difficult to get anywhere. Definitely loved the fastpasses tho!
