December bookings

I've been noticing that a number of you have said that some of the resorts are already BOOKED for early December (not the Holiday season, but from Dec. 1 thru the 19th or so). I also heard from a CM at a Disney Store that the resorts were really filling up for the Fall and early December. Has anyone else heard anything like that? Is it going to be busy? We've only gone in early December once and we loved it because of all of the Holiday decorations and the parks were practically empty -- and we loved that! We made the upcoming trip (for early December) because we, again, wanted to Holiday flare but small crowds. We're even taking my DH's folks with us, and Dad doesn't like crowds. . . so, I thought I'd check to see what my fellow Disboard members have heard. Thanks, everyone!!!!

I think you will find that it is the early December weekend nights (Friday and Saturday) that are booked. There should still be plenty of availability for the weeknights (Sunday - Thursday).

I have gone every year at this time (early December) since 1998. It is not uncommon to find that the weekends book up quickly for many of the on site resorts. The parks will still be relatively uncrowded, although I tend to avoid the MK on Saturdays.

I took the family last year from Dec. 17 - Dec. 23 It was real nice. One of the most beautiful times at disney I've ever seen. It didn't get busy until the 22nd or 23rd. wait times were 5-10 min. and most table service places took walk up. But on the 23rd it was another story. the crowd started to build and by 12:30 we were heading for the exits. I believe I booked that trip 10 mos. in advance, so I don't really know if it was starting to fill up or not. But I seem to remeber just testing the availability on the disney website and it was still available.

I plan to take them again in Jan 05. I'm just waiting around to see if they are still doing 3 for 5, or 5 for 7

i have been trying to add a day (dec.4)at wl and it has been booked expect for courtyard view and when i was on the phone the cm told me that it used to be september,october and early december were always the least crowded but last year october was really busy and it seems they are really filling up this december and that this year there really hasn't been what they consider a "slow time" ....but it sure beats going in the summer any way you look at it
