December availability

I'm very surprised at the limited availability for early December!

We booked our vacation last year (12/6-12/11) at the end of September. Was able to get a room at Pop Century, no problem. Now, the only ones available are CBR, CSR, AS Sports, and a few others that are out of our price range.

CBR, CSR and AS sports are used for the Pop Warner kids so I really don't want to stay there. But what gives! I think something is up with the website, because I really can't believe there's nothing available between the values and the moderates.

A quick search for me found every resort having availability.

12/3-12/6-7, or the following weekend. I think there's something up with the website. I'm only getting CBR, AKL, BW, and CSR. It's also showing me the FL resident discount, even though I'm not a FL resident.

I know! I'm so mad because I had POR booked when they released the fall discounts, and we cancelled because of a potential schedule conflict. I knew I shouldn't have cancelled!

I agree--it's a bummer! We just decided today to take a quick trip to see the last year of the Osborne lights. Dec. 2-5, all I could get was All Star Movies or Caribbean Beach unless I wanted a deluxe. Maybe Coronado--I can't remember for sure. But I was really hoping for one of the Port Orleans Resorts . I snagged Movies for now. We haven't stayed at a value before; maybe it will be a fun change of pace.

yeah what is going on for that first weekend? 800 a night for board walk? i mean that is kind of a joke. i only see BWL AKL both priced out of control and then Coronado only kings and then CB only pirate.....i mean for real every other single room is booked on property that cant be.......

I'm glad to know it's not just me. My dates are 12-2 - 12-6. All I could find (in my price range) was an All Star for 12-2 - 12-5. I went ahead and booked it, and now I'll just keep my fingers crossed something opens up for the night of the 5th I can book.

I ws looking last week for dec 7th thru the 10 and also finding nothing. But Orbitz got me a huge discount on top of the already discounted room. Packyourbags is the code this week

Is it possible to go 12/10 to 12/14? It's alot more open then. All of the All stars have rooms, POP and POR.

12/10 to 12/13 has All Star Sports,CBR and CSR available.

We are going 12/10 to 12/15 and there's still alot of availability that week, so I'm hoping for low crowds!

I was able to get AKL with the military discount for December 7-12, but not POFQ, which was my first choice. This was booked about 2 weeks ago. POFQ was available under the general public fall discount, but the price would have been the same as the military discount AKL price, so naturally I chose AKL!

The pop warner groups usually stay at AS Sports, CBR and CSR - which is why I was trying to avoid those. I was looking at the following weekend and was getting the same results, but looking again it looks much more open from 12/10-12/14. I think there was something up with the website yesterday.

Ive been looking at 12/6 to 12/9, and am finding similar results this morning.

Ive checked a few threads on orbitz bookings, is the one downside you can't add dining? What about magic express? And I would book a 1 day park ticket through UT and add to MDE?

I've been randomly checking the website most of the day, and voila, a bunch of rooms with availability just opened up, including all the all stars for 12/2-12/6

well just bit the bullet and we are staying at the swan it was 1/2 the cost of the beach club for 4 nights over that first weekend....we had to take the kids to see the lights osbourn one time before it ended.....swan 260 a night all in compared to boardwalk or beachclub for 500ish....made zero sense to even consider a disney resort....managed to snag a brown derby reservation so we can do the lights the right way!

We had the same problem when we decided a few weeks ago to take a last minute trip. I checked daily and eventually ended up with 2 nights with a discounted fall special and 2 nights without the fall special rate as I wanted a specific resort.
