December AirTran Fares

Don't know if this is posted earlier but for those waiting for Dec fares on AirTran, just went to their site and found fares for the first 2 weeks of Dec from PHL are out. RT $223.40 for us. Hope this info helps.

I just saw that this morning, I've been checking for weeks! Geez, they have flights for $87 one way, not sure if we should get them now or try waiting. For 5 people, it will be almost $300 more than last year, but a lot cheaper than I know a lot of people on here are saying they have to pay. We are kind of on the fence about whether or not we should go this year due to finances, I was hoping airfare would be a little cheaper.

Any discounts out there or is there any day of the week the prices drop on? Think they'll go up or down?

Wait a few days and let the internet specials come up.

Also, with Airtran, you will note the fares will come down Tuesdays through Thursdays and then go back up again Friday through Monday.

My theory is that people are home for the weekend, and that's when they decide on their plans.

Give it another week and you will see them go down.

I rode it out last year for a few weeks, booked mine around 6:00 am on a Tuesday morning.

I got $89.00 non-stop going down from BWI to MCO the Saturday after Thanksgiving and the following Saturday for $59.00 non-stop coming back.

Just booked for our trip. 2 tickets using FF miles and 2 tickets paid. $448 for all 4 of us to fly, RT, nonstop, seat selected.
