December ADR's - California Grill??

Hi everyone! I'm trying to nail down ADR's for my Dec 10 trip. It will just be my husband and I. Every time we've been in the past, we've had our kids with us, so this time I'd like to take advantage of some different restaurants. I've got an ADR for California Grill on a Wishes night right now, but am struggling as to whether or not I should keep it. We're only there for 4 days and I kind of hate to use 2 table service credits on this one meal. What do you think???

Also, what are other table service meals that are absolute must do's? My husband mentioned Japan and I'd like to try Boma.

Hi!

I ate at CG in 2007 on a Wishes night and the whole thing was such a special experience

The food is totally out of this world - and they make you feel like the only people in the room. Nothing is too much trouble and your every need is catered for.

A little way into the meal we realised that because the pace of the meal was slow (not bad service, just more relaxed and not the usual pile em in and pile em out Disney meal) we were going to be eating when Wishes was on. No problem, about 10 mins before Wishes they came with covers for our main courses, we went out to the balcony (with our tripod to get great pictures!) and it was amazing.... The music is piped onto the balcony and it's so romantic and special.

When we returned our meal was piping hot still, and we had more space to enjoy it and dessert!!

I think the whole package is worth the 2 credits. In terms of other TS not to be missed, I loved Chefs de France, Coral Reef and Boma, but didn't care for Brown Derby and certainly not Sci-Fi Diner!!

If you have never been to CG or seen the fireworks from that location, I highly recommend it. If you get there early enough, you can possibly request a table by the window.

The first time I ever ate there I was lucky to get one and all we did was turn our chairs and watch the show right from the table. They also have the balcony for viewing - but keep in mind it cam be quite cool standing there for the entire show, especially in December.

It really depends on the experience you're looking for. Boma is nice, I enjoyed it very much. DH was okay with it - I'm a more adventurous eater than he is. Granted, the menu isn't *exactly* challenging, but for instance I adore couscous and hummus and am willing to try lots of other things, whereas he's not like that. So while we both enjoyed what we had, I had much more to choose from - it's definitely something to keep in mind.

I've had lunch at Tokyo Dining in Japan, but have never eaten at Teppan Edo. Honestly, DH and I feel that we can get hibachi at any number of places so we stay away - that might not be the case for you, and I'm sure it's entertaining to watch the chef prepare the food there.

Now, as for the California Grill.......it's our favorite! I will always be biased in favor of CG and am dying to get back there. I love the food, as does DH (and he's eaten there more than I have). The service is wonderful, the view is amazing, and I'm sure it would be a nice "night without the kids".

Other ideas: Narcoossee's or Yachtsman's Steakhouse - both are 2 credit and both are great, IMO.

we enjoy CAGrill, but rest of family is rather non-adventurous eaters so we prefer the food @ Narcoossee's which has almost as nice of a view of the FW

LeCellier or Coral Reef for steak in Epcot, YS @ BC is good too, we just find the servers to be rather pretentious
