There are a few ways, the easiest being just exchanging names. Then when you walk up to the podium you each give the other person's name.

With the double booking rule, this only works for an even trade.

If the original ADR holder needs to cancel the ressie so they can make another one elsewhere, then call Disney and tell them that they are giving the ADR to their "friend, they give the name and party info of the other person to the reservationist (find out which resort they are staying at). Then as a courtesy I like to PM the confirmation # to my new friend!

What's the "double booking rule?" When we went in August 2005 with free dining, we were allowed to book an early and a late TS dinner. We always cancelled as soon as we knew which we would be using. Is this no longer allowed? I believe that it was a CM that first suggested this to us.

Just called to confirm our ADRs (and see what I can give away).

In the confusion I just cancelled WCC for 12/4 in the 6pm hour. table for 3. Call right now if you want it. I wasn't able to keep it for trading due to a cranky CM who was irritated over our accidental double booking (TA forgot to cancel when we rebooked elsewhere).

I have a friend looking for an ADR for Chef Mickey's for anytime between Dec. 1 - Dec. 5. Would prefer breakfast, but is open to dinner also.
This is their first trip and she didn't realize how far in advance she needed to make her ADR's.
