December A&E/SDMT FP Cancellation Thread- READ 1st POST

Getting a little closer! I now have a 8:35-9:35pm FP for 7DMT on 12/17 that I'm hoping to trade for one in the 7:25-8:25pm range. You think CMs will be lenient on those 10min if I can't get one?

Most CMs will give you a 5 min window on either end (ie, early or late) but this is not guaranteed. If you are trying to overlap w/ a group ten minutes after your time, you possibly have that single minute where the two times would overlap. I always get nervous about being late for one. So I would suggest you all get there before the first time frame expires, tell the CM you are trying to overlap with people w/ FP that are 10 min later and see what they say. Worst case, the first group goes in on time and just waits inside for 10 minutes before going on ride until second group gets in.

I had a similar issue our last trip for A&E, although they were 5 minutes apart. The CM let the second group (the grandparents) in w/ us at end of our time. The Grandparents were very happy to see my DD w/ A&E.

Thank you. I took one near the time we needed & cancelled all other selections so that if they want to change the time, we won't get bounced due to an existing FP+ Here's hoping!

I saw this also with the 2 minutes! I took advantage and moved our fastpass that was at 10:50 pm!

If tons of people grab them I don't see how they could possibly honor them, there is only a certain number of people they can get in in one hour....that being said if I didn't have A&E FPs, I'd definitely grab one just in case...but I wouldn't change an hour pass for the 2minute ones. Too iffy.

Oh gosh no. I didn't have any A&E passes, so if they honour these it's better than nothing. (Although I sure hope they still give the 5 minutes on each side buffer window in case our clocks aren't synchronized.)

Completely agree... Just happy to get a third so my nephew can come in with my family too, he didn't want one before but just watched frozen for the first time and is IN LOVE. Oh, four year olds. If it doesn't work out my DH will just let him use his and I'll take all three kids in myself. Anyway it's still 10 min away from ours, but I'm sure we'll be able to figure that one out.

It doesn't seem like they have that many for each two minute spot. Seems like you can't get more than two FPs for any spot. Like I had to get DH's one minute later than DD's and mine. Anyone have a different experience?

This is so bizzare. I snagged some for dec 4 & 5. It makes me nervous though because does this mean they are running some crazy tests again. Will the FP lines be super long like when they tested the return passes and eliminated the standby line?

Wow I wonder if it's some kind of test. I just assumed glitch. You could be right.

I had the same experience. Couldn't get more than 2 at a time. I had to overlap 3rd member a minute later

Yeah, this has been up a long time for it to be a glitch. They may be trying to eliminate standby. However... a two minute window? Really?

Well, don't you have 5 minutes before and 15 minutes after a FP? So more like a 22 minute window?

I have two groups of two that I'm fastpassing - when I went on I was able to get two of my four in at 11:02 to 11:04, then I went to do my other group of two and it gave me 11:03 to 11:05.

Looking at it now, it will allow me to change me to change my times if I want, but only in blocks of 30 (1:02-1:04, 1:32-1:34, 2:02-2:04...)

Could they be allowing a group every minute? Am I reading too much into it and it's probably just a glitch? it's so strange!!!

I mean, if they get people down to 5 minute windows it could make the whole process a lot easier. It's also kind of risky though because if your kid has to pee or something you're done.

This was my experience as well. I tried all four of us together...nothing. My daughter and I now have one 2 minute window, and my husband and son have another 2 minute window, with a one minute overlap between the two.

Honestly, it looks like they just tried to add a few slots on the hour and half hour and somehow screwed something up. If you look now, there are only slots available at the top of each hour and 30 minutes past, for one hour windows. I don't know whether to try to change mine or not....
