December 9th (2010), 3 nights Bahamas (Wonder)

what time is everyone planning on getting to the port? We got there really early before and aren't sure if we wanna do that again.

I am told we will get the details of the pick up from saratoga & arrival at the port when we check in at the cruise desk. I for one am hoping to get there as early as possible....not having kids makes it a little less hectic for me so I could understand not wanting to get there too early. I want to be on the Wonder as soon as we are allowed to board!!!!!!!!!

We're with you, Kat, at the mercy of the Disney transport. After reading the opinions on the board about this, it sounds like a personal preference. We figure we would go this route on our first cruise to see how we like it.

We are eating the early sitting, thought it would work out better for the kids and then go to a show with them before kids club - any input from you experienced cruisers. :confused3
Also not sure when we find out our departure and arrival time for the cruise - where do we find that out??

We're planning on arriving at post around 11:30, parking and getting to the terminal by noon. I did this last time I cruised and we literally walked onto the ship without waiting for anything except going through security, and of course to get our parking voucher thing. That was the biggest mess - the parking lot was under construction at the time and nobody knew where to park.

Probably leave AKL around 9 to arrive at the port for 10. We like to get on board as soon as possible. Because we are driving we don't have to wait for any transportation.
Can't believe that it is so close now.
We will be in WDW on Tuesday....:woohoo:

Us to. I don't have any idea what time we will be picked up from Port Orleans.

The buses typically depart from the resorts to go to the port between 11:00-12:30, depending on which resort you're staying at and the number of people departing to the ship.

PS - Does any party of 2 still need a ride from WDW? We're driving (and providing you don't have a ton of luggage lol), we have room in our car. If you'd be willing to split the parking charges and a few bucks for gas, we'd be happy to share a ride :goodvibes

Getting sooo excited!! It's so close!

So everyone - which dining seating do you have? We have a later one, not sure what our rotation is but last time we had PTA. Missed Parrot Cay because of our Palo reservation - this time palo is night #2 for our anniversary, so maybe we'll get the same thing? They seemed to have a lot of us younger couples and groups in the same dining room / rotation.

We have the second seating too.

We have second seating also...
Don't like to have to rush for dinner.
Prefer to have the day last as long as possible.

Some lucky folks are heading to WDW within a couple days! Wishing you all safe travels to the World & the Wonder. :goodvibes

Sure look forward to meeting everyone at the Promenade Lounge for the 3:00meet! pixiedust:party:

Getting so excited. So close. All you lucky folks who get to go to WDW before the cruise, you guys are so lucky! You vacation is about to begin. Wishing all of you safe travels and great memories on this cruise together.

I am getting so nervous. I am a worry wart. We were around so many friends and family this Thanksgiving that were sick or coming down with something. We all loaded up on vitamin C and airborne. May all be in our heads, but anything to keep from catching something. My 7 year old is in school so he gets a antibacterial gel bath (:rotfl:) before even setting foot in the house. Any of us getting sick prior to this cruise is my worst nightmare. I know there are plenty of other things I could be worried about, but that is the one thing I cannot get past. I know I am going to have to let go and roll with it, whatever will be will be.

See y'all soon. Happy travels. Be safe (and well) everyone!

Yes, sooo excited, just sewed our fish extender last night!!!:dance3:
As for airbourn and stuff, my 7 year old is down with a cold, my husband in bed at 8pm last night with Niquil, but still holding on with me and our 10 year old.
I know we will be there, red nosed, sniffling or whatever and I know that salt air and ocean swimming will clear us all up:cheer2:
5 nights in our beds and off to WDW - wow it is sooo close, can't wait to meet you all travel safely!!:flower3:

We arrived at AKL Jambo House this morning and have now checked into our room and in the process of putting things away.
We had spent Thanksgiving with family in New Jersey and today we are just relaxing, getting settled and catching up on lost sleep so we can get a great start tomorrow morning.
If anyone wants to get in touch with us while we are here on property you can reach us at Jambo House room 5014.
Safe travels to all and if we don't see you before we will see you at the Promenade Lounge. :grouphug:
