I just discovered this thread (198 pages late, apparently), but my family will be on this cruise too! We have two cabins--my parents and sister in one and my husband, me, and our 6-year-old twins (boy/girl) in the other. I look forward to getting to know everyone!

Welcome aboard!!! We'll be sailing with our daughter who will just have turned 7 by the time of the cruise. Looking forward to getting to know you!

My oldest son (Xavier) just got his Yellow Band for Swimming. If any of you are members of the YMCA, you know what I mean. He had to tread water for 30secs and then swim half a lap on his belly. He will go for his green band in a week or two which means he can swim in the pool without us. He has to tread water for 60 seconds (which he has done already) then swim and entire lap. I am so proud of my little man.
Not bad for a 5 year old (turned 5 on the 15th.) I didn't learn to swim until I was 6 or 7.

Congrats to Xavier...what a great accomplishment...

It's so hot, I'm just feeling wore out. I'm going to take an early leave today to get the heck out of dodge. It's just so blasted hot out today...
I find myself daydreaming of the pool and bar on the ship.....isttnig by the pool with the drink of the day, plunging into the coool cooool water......

OH I WANT TO BE THERE NOW!!!!!!!!

Morning all:

Busy weekend so far....yesterday we cut the lawn, then I did all the laundry, went grocery shopping and just relaxed after that.

this morning we went for a ride with our son and his fiance' on the bikes...Wally just had his Harley converted to a 3 wheeler....he hasn't been able to ride for a few years, so he decided to do this so he can ride again, we just got the bike back Friday, so we had a nice Sunday morning ride on the country roads then stopped for breakfast and now I'm just going to relax.

It's currently 71F here and overcast too. The wind is breezy and has a bit of a chill in it but I'm still only in a tshirt and long cargos. I'm contemplating wearing socks but it's not that cold yet. It's a good washing day though with the wind

Thanks to everyone for your kind welcomes! I answered roll call, signed up for fish extenders, and requested to join the fb group. Those things didn't work from my computer, but they did work from my husband's. And I think the four of us (2 adults, 2 kids) will be interested in the dismeet too!

It's a great way of meeting new people. And there is no requirement for you to become best friends with everyone We had a meet on our first cruise and met some lovely people but ended up becoming firm friends with people outside of our group.

Actually he has a really nice bike and he was able to ride well now that it has the 3 wheels, on the two he just could not hold the bike between his back and knees...so he is happy now...
